Abstract: Lviv Polytechnic National University ANNOTATION to the master’s thesis of Bagara Yaroslav Vasilyevich «Creating an interactive map of prominent scientists of the Institute of Geodesy «Lviv Polytechnic National University» The relevance of the research topic is the creation of orderly access to information about the history of the Institute of Geodesy, namely about outstanding scientists. This will help to save information in the same way as in the archive, but on the basis of an interactive web map with fast and clear access to data. The purpose and objectives of the study. The aim of the work is to create an interactive map "Outstanding scientists of the Institute of Geodesy of the National University (NU)" Lviv Polytechnic ". To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: selection and argumentation of the most suitable sources and methods for each stage of web map development; data collection and processing to create your own web map; creation of a database of geodata about the studied objects; identifying problems in creating an interactive map and suggestions for their improvement.
