Analysis of the state of fire safety of the municipal non-profit enterprise of Boryspil district council of Kyiv region "Boryspil multidisciplinary hospital of intensive care". Master’s qualification work. – Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, 2020. Extended abstract. Boryspil District Council of Kyiv Region Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise Boryspil Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital is located in the central part of Boryspil and provides specialized medical care to residents of Boryspil and Boryspil district. The actual purpose of the work is to determine the state of fire and man-made safety at medical facilities and buildings and structures with a large number of people, as a basis for further improvement of methods for monitoring them. This master’s thesis consists of 5 sections: ­ Analysis of operational and tactical characteristics of the object; ­ Fire hazard analysis of the object; ­ Checking the fire condition of the facility; ­ Calculation of forces and means for the needs of firefighting; ­ Calculation of the economic effect of the implementation of fire prevention measures at the investigated object; The first section formulates the purpose and objectives of the analysis. The conditions of liquidation of emergencies at objects with mass stay of people are analyzed. The characteristics of the territory and buildings located on it are given. A study was conducted on the presence and condition of fire load, various systems and equipment, and the most significant building for further research was identified. A superficial analysis of the fire water supply, as well as the organization of rescue operations. The second section analyzes the fire hazard of the facility. That is, a number of analyzes were performed, namely: ­ Analysis of the presence of combustible substances and materials. Various substances and materials are considered and it is determined which of them are available and can burn in this building. ­ Analysis of the possibility of the formation of an explosive environment. The analysis of substances and materials that rotate in the premises of the object under study, and their ability to form explosive atmospheres. ­ Analysis of the presence of possible sources of ignition. This section studies the sources of ignition, their types and features. The possibility of the presence of certain sources in the building was also analyzed. ­ Identification of possible ways of fire spread. The elements of the building structures, as well as the placement of combustible substances and materials on which the spread of fire and active increase in the area of the fire is possible were reviewed. ­ Analysis of conditions that complicate firefighting. Using the experience gained in the elimination of various fires and their consequences, the main conditions that prevent rapid firefighting and complicate it. Accordingly, it is determined that it will complicate the process of extinguishing the fire at the facilities of health care facilities. In the third section, the work carried out can be equated with inspections carried out by the inspection staff of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. That is, the premises of the building were inspected for compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents in the field of fire and man-made safety. The main aspects were inspected, ie: planning of the territory, main building structures, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, evacuation routes, state of electricity, fire water supply, primary fire extinguishing means, as well as fire automation systems. Ways to improve the fire safety of the studied institution are indicated. The fourth section analyzes and identifies the most appropriate fire-extinguishing agent, as well as how to modernize the current state of fire safety of the object under study. The calculation of the main parameters of the conditional fire and the forces and means necessary for its elimination are carried out. Two different fires have been simulated to better visualize the need to equip healthcare facilities with fire protection systems. Under the condition, one fire occurs in the building in its current state, and the second – when equipping the premises with automatic fire alarm systems. The fifth section calculates the possible damage that can be caused by a simulated fire. The costs of installing a fire automation system (automatic fire alarm) are calculated. On the basis of the received values, the economic effect, economically substantiated expediency of installation of security systems of fire automatics is defined. The master’s qualification work consists of 105 pages of the text part, 8 figures, 12 tables, 6 sheets of the graphic part of A4 format, 44 bibliographic sources.
