Extended abstract Due to russia’s aggression, the psychological state of many citizens of our country has significantly deteriorated. For the fastest possible recovery and normalization of the work of the nervous system, safe sedatives and sleep-improving drugs can be used as prescribed by the doctor, among such drugs you can single out compounds that contain bromine (bromides). One such drug is bromocamphor. This drug has a calming effect on the central nervous system, improves cardiac activity and sleep. Therefore, the study of the properties of this compound and methods of its industrial production is an urgent task. In this master’s thesis, the methods of bromocamphor synthesis, as well as its properties, and the main ways of using this compound in pharmacy and medicine are described. [1-3] The analysis of literary sources made it possible to determine the optimal scheme for the synthesis of bromocamphor from a technological point of view based on the chemical reaction of the interaction of camphor with bromine. The main raw materials are characterized in the work, as well as a block diagram of production is drawn up. In the calculation part, material calculations of the production of bromocamphor were carried out, as a result of which, taking into account the output coefficients, the consumption norms of raw materials and semi-products were calculated for the stages of production and as a whole for obtaining 1 ton of the finished product. On the basis of material calculations for a given production capacity, technological calculations were made and a basic technological scheme of production was developed. [4,5] The principle technological scheme consists in the fact that camphor is loaded through a hatch into a reactor equipped with a shell and an anchor stirrer, and bromine is slowly added while stirring. Then the mixture is heated to 80°C and kept for 3 hours, and after that the temperature is raised to 95-100°C and kept for another 3 hours. Hydrogen bromide, which is released at the same time, is captured with distilled water. After the release of hydrogen bromide, a 5% soda solution is added to the reaction mixture. The obtained suspension is filtered on a notch filter and washed with cold distilled water. The obtained technical bromocamphor is dried under vacuum at 35°C and recrystallized in ethanol. Then the crystals of purified bromocamphor are filtered on a nutch filter and washed with ethanol, and after that they are dried at 35°C under vacuum to a moisture content of no more than 1%. The paper selects and describes the characteristics of the main apparatus for obtaining bromocamphor, performs its thermal calculations, and provides drawings of the selected reactor. The construction design of the planned production was carried out in accordance with the requirements and standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and building norms and rules, which is presented in the form of drawings of the workshop plan and its longitudinal and transverse sections. In the economic calculations in this work, all material costs for obtaining 100 tons of finished product per year are taken into account, including: the wage fund, the cost of main and auxiliary equipment, and the cost of raw materials, as well as the economic efficiency of the implementation of the proposed production is shown. Study object – bromocamphor. Scope of research – technology of pharmaceuticals, pharmacology, chemistry. Goal of research - study of methods of organic synthesis and properties of bromocamphor; development of technology for its industrial production, as well as study of ways and methods of using this substance in medicine and pharmacy. Research results - a basic technological scheme for the production of bromocamphor was developed and the possibility of implementing this scheme in production was shown, the main and auxiliary equipment was calculated and selected and its construction layout was proposed in accordance with the requirements and rules of GMP, as well as the economic efficiency of the developed production was calculated. The work is laid out on 84 pages (without literary sources and appendices) and consists of an introduction, 4 chapters, conclusions and a list of used literature, contains references to 21 literary sources, and 6 sheets of drawings are given in the appendices.
