Abstract: This final work examines a number of issues related to the study of the operation of the subscriber network taking into account FOL. An assessment of the quality of information during transmission in fiber-optic communication systems was carried out. An analytical overview of subscriber networks based on various technologies and solutions is presented. Experimental studies on the quality of transmitted information at various transmission parameters are shown. In recent years, information exchange has become a basic human need. The need for high speeds and higher throughput is strongly felt in many countries of the world. Optics is one of the best solutions for transmitting large amounts of information. In this work, a brief history of development and the current state of subscriber communication lines were considered. An analysis of the principles of construction and operation of a PON-based network is presented, and the characteristics of the PON network are given.
