Abstract: The essence of the task for optimizing the mixing process is briefly as follows: how to obtain the required volume of the mixture of the desired quality (with the maximum level of homogeneity of the placement of the constituent components over the total volume of the mixture) in the minimum time with the use of minimum energy costs. What factors are decisive in this problem. Obviously, the components of the mixture, its volume. But under most production conditions, it is impossible to significantly influence these factors. Another group of factors is the parameters of the mixing equipment. This includes the type of mixer drive with its versatility, the type and shape of the working chamber of the equipment for the mixing process, and the modes of operation of the mixer to create certain mixing conditions. This master’s thesis is devoted to the consideration of this problem in terms of mixing equipment. It is about vibrating mixers, their dynamic characteristics, determining the movement of the components of the mixture for mixing in the middle of the working chamber of the mixer, which can achieve the best mixing mode both in terms of uniformity and time. It should be emphasized that the issues that will be considered in this paper, especially regarding mixing equipment, are universal. They have practical application for various branches of industry, where products based on dry mixtures are manufactured. The object of research: a vibrating mixer with a pneumatic suspension and an unbalanced drive. The subject of the study: geometric, kinematic and power parameters of a vibrating mixer with a pneumatic suspension and an unbalanced drive. The purpose of the study: study of the influence of the parameters of the vibrating mixer on the time of making the mixture. Study of the inertial characteristics of the vibrating mixer for the production of loose mixtures. Study of the characteristics of the suspension and drive of the vibrating mixer for the production of loose mixtures with the aim of its optimization. In the first section of the work, classification features, methods and equipment for mixing mixtures are given, technological aspects of preparing mixtures of loose components and equipment for mixing are described, the relevance of using vibration technologies when mixing loose materials is described. The second part of the work describes the design features of vibratory type mixers, types of working chambers of vibratory type mixers and the movement of mixture components in them, intermittent vibratory type mixers, continuous vibratory type mixers. In the third section of the work, the methodology for calculating vibration-type mixers was developed and their parameters for mixing efficiency were studied.In this regard, the geometric dimensions of the working chamber of vibration-type mixers were determined, the influence of the parameters of the vibrating mixer on the time of mixture production was studied, the inertial characteristics of the vibrating mixer for the production of loose mixtures were studied, and the characteristics of the suspension and drive of the vibrating mixer for the production of loose mixtures were studied. In the fourth section of the work, an economic evaluation of the obtained design solution is carried out. First, the master’s work was planned and costs were calculated. Further, calculations of operational costs for the received design solution were performed and consumption prices of the design solution were determined. The term of development and implementation of the project solution will last 91 days, and the costs of its development and implementation will amount to UAH 47,871.26. This project solution will have a term of use of 5 years. Annual costs for the operation of the project solution will amount to UAH. The project solution will have a consumption price for the developer organization of UAH 131.56. per day and for the buyer organization - UAH 133.68. per day during the entire period of use. The project solutions obtained in the work and corresponding studies indicate their feasibility and practical use. The conducted economic calculations testify to the economic efficiency of their implementation and further application.
