Abstract: Transport and transfer nodes are an important element of the transport system for transporting passengers, both by urban public transport and suburban, intercity and even international flights [1,2]. The importance of the transport interchange in the perspective of the public transport of the city is that it ensures the transfer of passengers both between separate routes of the same type of transport and between different types of public transport. The development of transport hubs for the city is important, first of all, from the point of view of ensuring the convenience of transportation, as well as ensuring their efficiency [1–3]. The issues of convenience and efficiency are extremely important here, since any city cannot ensure that public transport routes are laid out in such a way that each of them passes through the entire city. Also, as the route network was formed, connections of different types of transport were formed, which complement each other. Accordingly, there should be places in the city where public transport lines overlap or cross. In this way, the transport hub performs the role of a "logistics center" with the only difference that it does not redistribute cargo, but passengers [4]. The relevance of the selected research topic is that for a modern city, an extremely necessary condition for the effective operation of public transport is the involvement of the largest possible number of residents in its movement. This reduces the load on the transport network of private transport, which reduces the problems of urban traffic jams and, accordingly, traffic delays during the movement of city residents [5]. Traffic jams are a problem associated not only with lost time for movement, but also with gas pollution and traffic noise. Ensuring high mobility of residents is an important task for a modern city. Most large modern cities were formed over long periods of time. By such formation we understand the development of transport areas, the specifics of the formation of functional zones, the formation of the configuration of the street and road network. Under the influence of all the listed patterns, transport correspondences were also historically formed, regardless of their type - transport with the use of individual transport, on foot, bicycle, passenger, etc. Based on this, the change of even several routes causes a change of correspondences with reference to the level of transferability, that is, the selection of certain stopping points where the most frequent transfers from one route (or mode of transport) to others are made. An important task is to recognize and ensure the development of transport interchanges on the territory of the city, taking into account not only urban routes, but also suburban, intercity and external transport routes, including rail and air. For some cities, it may be relevant to include river and sea transport in this list. To reveal the problems of this master’s research, the route network of the city of Lviv, which is functioning at the moment, was used, as well as the provisions of the Sustainable Mobility Plan for the city, which they are trying to implement. Important factors that have been somehow accounted for are related to the coronavirus restrictions caused by COVID-19 and martial law, which are important factors that have directly affected the volumes and directions of urban mobility. The object of the study is the public transport of the city. The subject of the study is the regularities of the formation of transport interchanges on the public transport network. Research methods: documentary study - during the analysis of urban mobility indicators in recent years; system analysis – for processing large data sets, differentiation of influence factors by importance; mathematical modeling - during the formation of formalized and graphical dependencies; field studies - during the study of indicators of road users on separate sections of the street and road network. The purpose of the work is to identify the centers of passenger flow generation on individual sections of the route network and to develop recommendations for changing its configuration. To achieve the set goal, the following tasks should be solved: 1. To conduct a theoretical analysis of the main regularities of the formation of transport interchange nodes, their classification and the specifics of their formation for different cities. 2. To conduct an analysis of sustainable urban mobility plans for different cities of Ukraine to determine the main methodology for evaluating the transport correspondence of city residents. 3. Differentiate the main factors that influence the processes of formation of transport interchanges, as well as determine the specifics of urban movements. 4. To form the main regularities of changes in the passenger flow in transport and transfer nodes, to determine the size and importance of these nodes, as well as to establish quality indicators of their work. Keywords: transport interchanges, route network of the city, public transport, passenger flow, rolling stock of public transport. References 1. Dolya, V. (2011).
