Abstract: The object of study is the drying process of hydrogel alginate film, aiming to select an optimal drying method by enhancing its parameters. The aim of the research is to conduct a comparative analysis of various drying methods and determine the optimal method of drying hydrogel alginate sheets, with further investigation of its fundamental patterns. Additionally, a mathematical model of the drying process capable of predicting the drying machine is proposed. The first chapter provides an overview of the current state of drying technology processes, including the main types of drying, the classification of drying methods, and common types of drying equipment. The second chapter presents the methodologies of the conducted research, including the description of hydrogel film formation and the materials used. The research methodology involves determining the degree of swelling of hydrogel samples, determining equilibrium moisture content, and drying in an infrared apparatus. The third chapter presents the outcomes of the conducted experiments and introduces the proposed mathematical model. The fourth chapter describes the economic aspect and calculates the expenses associated with the research. Based on the results of the study, conclusions and suggestions for the creation and implementation of optimization in industrial production were made.
