Abstract: Ethyl acetate technology is considered in the master’s qualification work. Based on literary sources, the properties and use of ethyl acetate. A comparison of ethyl acetate technologies using different methods was made. Their advantages and disadvantages are given. Two basic technological schemes for obtaining ethyl acetate are proposed. It is proposed to use ethanol as a raw material, which is produced in Ukraine by a biochemical method. The proposed method of oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol to obtain ethyl acetate is optimal, as it allows to reduce the consumption coefficients of raw materials and energy resources, and in addition, it allows to reduce the explosiveness and use the heat of the reaction to generate water vapor that can be used in the technological process. The material and heat balance of the process of obtaining ethyl acetate by oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol and dehydrogenation of ethanol was calculated. Cost norms (cost coefficients) for raw materials, reagents and coolants have been determined. The estimate for conducting experimental research is calculated.
