Abstract: The technology of production of petroleum polymer resins is considered in the master’s qualification work. Chemistry, kinetics, and thermodynamics of NPS production were analyzed based on literature sources. The state and prospects of the industry in the 21st century were conducted and the growing demand and shortage of specialists was revealed. According to literary sources, modern methods of obtaining NPS were determined and described in detail. Their advantages and disadvantages are given and the optimal one is selected. A basic technological scheme for obtaining NPS is proposed. The composition of the C9 faction and its main requirements were determined. An analysis of the requirements for the NPS was carried out and the standards were defined. The raw material for obtaining NPS is the C9 fraction, together with it, potassium persulfate initiator and E-30 initiator are used in the process. The main reaction takes place in a reactor with a stirrer for 3 hours at a temperature of 130-150 0C. the material and heat balance of the process of obtaining petroleum polymer resin was calculated. Cost norms (cost coefficients) for raw materials, reagents and coolants have been determined. From the obtained calculations, the geometric dimensions of the reactor with a stirrer were calculated and the selection of the reactor material was carried out. The cost of conducting experimental research in the laboratory with the participation of the student and the teacher is calculated.
