Abstract: In the master’s thesis, the operation of three conveyor belts of a quarry conveyor, which smoothly accelerate and stop with a given time delay one after the other, was implemented, so as to ensure continuous and uniform transportation of quarry rock. Three modes of operation are provided: alternating start (acceleration of conveyors), alternate stop (stopping of conveyors) and quick stop (stopping of conveyors). Automatic switches for the protection of asynchronous conveyor drive motors are also monitored, and if one of the automatic switches turns off in an emergency, the conveyor belts of the quarry loader must alternately stop (stop), and the emergency alarm must be activated by flashing the light bulb. In the introduction, based on the analysis of modern literature, the current state of the domestic mining industry is analyzed, which is characterized by the advance of the development of the open method of developing mineral deposits. In the conditions of the growing scale of enterprises and the increase in the depth of pits, the transportation of mining mass is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. In many quarries, the technical and economic indicators of open development are determined primarily by the process of moving overburden and minerals. The first chapter is devoted to the development of the functional circuit of the quarry loader using the EASY512-DC-RC programmable logic controller, which provides three modes of operation: alternate start (acceleration of conveyors), alternate stop (stop of conveyors) and quick stop (stop of conveyors) [1, 2]. In the second section, the main (power) electrical circuit of the conveyor is developed and protective and switching equipment is selected. The electric drive of the conveyor is an energy-efficient three-phase asynchronous motor with a short-circuited rotor, and the protective and switching equipment is made by the leading Italian company LOVATO [3]. The third chapter is devoted to the development of the electrical circuit of the control circuit using a PLC and describes the functions of the control circuit in different operating modes [2]. The fourth chapter shows the programming of the logic controller using the modern EASY-SOFT-PRO software. This section also clearly, correctly and consistently describes the principle of operation of the programmed scheme and provides a list of the used operands with their functions and settings [4]. The fifth chapter provides project documentation that complies with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards with contact and coil symbols in accordance with international standards [5]. Study object–three conveyors of a quarry loader. Scope of research– electrical circuits of the power circuit and control circuits of the operation of three conveyor belts of a quarry loader using a PLC using modern approaches. Goal of research– increasing the efficiency of the three conveyor belts of the quarry loader due to the use of a programmable logic controller and a technological process control and visualization scheme created on its basis.
