Abstract: Thesis is set out on 70 pages, it contains 3 sections and 63 sources of references. The object of consideration is modern ways of developing the journalistic job through the using of the latest technologies (algorithms, programs, artificial intelligence systems), which include automatically generated text materials, algorithms for rapid information retrieval, rapid response to events, effective analysis and reporting, etc. The subjects of the work are materials written by Heliograf in The Washington Post, Associated Press projects related to artificial intelligence, automatically generated texts in The Guardian, GPT and NLP language models The aim of the work is to introduce the topic of modern tandem journalism and the latest technologies by explaining the basics of examples, determining the impact of the role and potential of artificial intelligence in the profession, awareness of its current capabilities and uses. The first section describes the current state of robot journalism, the challenges posed by modern technology to authors and readers, formulated ethical principles and norms of artificial intelligence in the field of journalism. The second section analyzes the materials in The Washington Post, written by artificial intelligence, on their example reveals the current state of development of text generation algorithms, language models and computational power of AI. Also in the same section describes the most developed language model GPT-3 and a GptChat bor, theres capabilities and characteristics. The third section describes the well-known ways of involving artificial intelligence in the work of a journalist in order to optimize, facilitate and reduce the cost. Based on the results of the thesis, conclusions are formulated with the disclosure of important aspects and principles of artificial intelligence in the field of journalism, its issues, identification of advantages and disadvantages and the potential for further development.
