Abstract: The modern world is becoming more and more interconnected, in particular in the field of information technology, so it is important to consider cybercrime as a global problem that can be influenced by various states and actors of the international community. The study is also relevant in the context of potential improvement and unification of strategies to combat cybercrime at the international level. Cybercrime has no borders and can be committed from anywhere in the world. Therefore, international cooperation and coordination is necessary to effectively manage this threat. International organisations, such as the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Council of Europe, play an important role in developing norms, standards, initiatives and cooperation for cybersecurity. Understanding their activities and effectiveness is key to further improving cybersecurity at the international level. In addition, the growing incidence of cybercrime requires constant analysis and updating of measures to counter this phenomenon. Large-scale cyberattacks can have serious consequences for global stability and security, so it is important to understand how international organisations interact and work together to address this issue. The study is relevant in the context of the need for coordinated and effective cybersecurity measures that will ensure a high level of protection not only at the national level but also internationally. Understanding the role and contribution of international organisations in this context will determine the directions for further action to improve global cybersecurity strategies and increase compliance with current challenges and threats. The object of the study is the activities of international organisations in the field of combating cybercrime. The subject of the study is the role and effectiveness of international organisations in combating cybercrime. The purpose is to study the role of international organisations in combating cybercrime and analyse the effectiveness of their activities, as well as to determine the contribution of such organisations to cybersecurity at the international level. Cybercrime has become a global threat to national and international security due to its ability to affect countries, companies and citizens simultaneously. The fight against cybercrime is determined by modern technical and legal principles. As cybercrime is transboundary, international organisations play a key role in combating this threat. In the context of the growing threat of cybercrime and its impact on international security, the role and activities of the Council of Europe, the European Union, the United Nations (UN) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are an important aspect of the study. International organisations are actively developing standards for the effective fight against cybercrime, highlighted by key documents such as the Budapest Convention, adopted by the Council of Europe in 2001 and ratified by more than 60 countries. International organisations have achieved significant results in combating cybercrime, but there is currently no binding global agreement on cybercrime.
