Abstract: Extended Abstract: The relevance of the research is driven by the significance of European countries’ attitudes toward European integration and their relations with the European Union (EU). Iceland and Norway, not being EU members, maintain unique relations with it. Therefore, analyzing their policies towards the EU is essential for understanding the dynamics of European politics. This master’s thesis explores the policies of Iceland and Norway regarding the EU. The research includes an analysis of the source base, principles, and policy fundamentals of the selected countries, their approaches to cooperation with the EU in various spheres, stages of relationship development with the EU, as well as the problems and prospects of cooperation. The conducted research regarding the policies of Iceland and Norway towards the European Union identified several crucial aspects defining their relations with this European association. Each country’s stance on European integration and its relations with the European Union is a key factor in the development of regional and international politics. The object of this research is Iceland and Norway in the context of European integration. The subject is the policies of Iceland and Norway towards the European Union. The aim of this work is to study Icelandic and Norwegian policies towards the EU. The research is based on various sources and literature, including articles by foreign and Ukrainian authors, EU program documents, and other sources studying the policies of these countries in the context of European integration. To achieve the set tasks, a comprehensive methodology is applied, involving the analysis of the principles and foundations of Iceland and Norway’s policies, studying their experience in cooperation with the EU, and analyzing the responses of the elites of both countries to the challenges arising from Eurointegration. Achieving the set goals involves describing the source base and literature, determining policy principles, analyzing cooperation with the EU, describing stages of relationship development, identifying interaction features, and highlighting problems and prospects of cooperation. As a result of this research, key aspects of Iceland and Norway’s policies in the context of European integration have been revealed, which is important for understanding the dynamics and peculiarities of regional and global politics.
