Abstract: The main factors that affect the reliability of modern electronic systems in the stages of development and operation are investigated. The main types, causes, mechanisms and effects of electronic equipment failures are identified and classified. The search for effective approaches to the analysis of reliability of electronic means is carried out. The ways of preventing failures and the methods to improve reliability are identified. The media server system is designed using the failure modes and effects analysis method, and its reliability indicators are calculated. Thermal analysis of the system is performed by means of computer modeling. Key words: reliability, failure, electronic device, thermal analysis.
