Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and scientific program is based on the fundamental postulates of chemistry and the results of modern scientific research. It is aimed at the development of the theoretical-methodological and methodological-applied base of chemistry with an emphasis on the latest trends in the development of chemistry, which deepens the professional scientific worldview and provides the basis for conducting scientific research and further professional and scientific activities
Програмні результати навчання: 1. Deep knowledge of thermodynamics of chemical processes and phase transformations. 2. Deep knowledge of the laws that link the structure of chemical compounds with their properties and reactivity. 3. Knowledge of theoretical and applied problems of modern organic chemistry and methods of organic synthesis. 4. Deep knowledge of modern methods of identification, determination of the composition and establishment of the structure of chemical compounds. 5. Deep knowledge of the patterns of processes in the presence of heterogeneous catalysts; the relationship between the nature and activity of catalysts and reagents, the kinetics and mechanism of a particular stage process. 6. Deep knowledge of the theoretical foundations and patterns of petrochemical processes. 7. Deep knowledge of the theoretical foundations and patterns of cavitation processes, the impact of chemicals on ecosystems. 8. Deep knowledge and understanding of the philosophical methodology of cognition, key basic professional ethics, system of moral and cultural values. Knowledge of psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional and scientific activity, own scientific worldview. 9. Knowledge of a foreign language required for oral and written presentation of research results, conducting professional scientific dialogue, full understanding of foreign scientific texts. 10. Deep knowledge of the theoretical foundations and patterns of processes in the surface layer and in dispersed systems. 1. To apply the received knowledge from various fields of chemistry for formulation and substantiation of new theoretical positions and practical recommendations in a concrete field of research. Ability to independently process the results of scientific research and calculate them using analytical and numerical methods. 2. Apply modern methods of analysis to establish the molecular structure and identification of synthesized compounds, study the kinetics and mechanism of chemical reactions. 3. Ability to plan and carry out the functionalization of organic compounds, to determine the choice of optimal methods of production and process parameters, to manage their implementation, using methods of organic synthesis. 4. Apply knowledge of the laws of the relationship of chemical structure with physical, chemical and pharmacological properties in solving theoretical and applied problems in the creation of new drugs. 5. Select and apply the desired petrochemical process to obtain a given monomer or other chemical substance. 6. Apply knowledge of chemical thermodynamics to real processes, predict thermodynamic properties and reactivity of substances. 7. Ability to show oratory and rhetorical skills in presenting research results, conduct professional scientific discussions and discussions with the general scientific community and the public in Ukrainian and English, form scientific texts in writing, organize and conduct training sessions, including the use of modern information technology (work with virtual learning environment, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.). Conduct classes using the results of their scientific work. 8. Management of research projects and / or drafting proposals for funding research, registration of intellectual property rights, the use of modern information technology. 9. Application of modern information technologies in scientific activity and presentation of results of the work (work with scientific international databases, automatic formation of references to literary sources)
Academic mobility: Based on bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic NU and technical universities of Ukraine. Within the framework of the EU Erasmus + program based on bilateral agreements between Lviv Polytechnic NU and partner institutions.
