Characteristics of the educational program: Expected application of acquired competences are integral in shaping the healthy personality expert of general practice in social welfare ready for professional activity at all levels of practice, the creative solution of problems of various kinds Social Welfare and customer satisfaction based on the results of scientific research and evidence-the practice of social security (Social Welfare), the promotion of social development; capable of self-development, self-actualization, self-fulfillment. The basic principles of Social Welfare are: the principle of equal rights to social and economic security, the principle of an integrated approach, the principle of short-term and long-term aspects of security, the principle of targeting, the principle of partnership and voluntary, humanitarian principles, principles of administration and planning of social assistance, principle of oversight and accountability, the principle of professional preparedness practice, the principle of equal rights, the principle of differentiation, the principle terms of security, the principle of humanity, based on the principle of ethics. Among the common methods, which should have specialist of general practice Social Welfare are: general philosophical, general scientific, special. The key techniques in the field of social security are: socio-economic, organizational and administrative, legal, sociological, statistical, psychological, diagnostic, individual and group methods, the method of Social Welfare in the community. The expert must possess active and passive methods of Social Welfare, special social technologies as a kind of tactical and operational impact on social object. Competitor of higher education should learn to use computers, special software, and databases that are used in professional activities.
Програмні результати навчання: Use oral and written communication in Ukrainian for professional activities; Identify the causal links between the development of society and the manifestations of socio-economic problems in different categories of the population; Apply information collection methods: document analysis, surveys and observations; Ability to apply the statistical, methodological and regulatory framework of the social protection system; Use mechanisms for assigning financial social assistance, pensions; Apply basic knowledge of the basics of economic assistance to social protection facilities; Use basic knowledge of the principles of state social policy and ways of social security; Apply means of social and legal policy in the field of social protection, basic knowledge of jurisprudence and legislation of Ukraine in the field of social security; To show readiness to interact with colleagues at work, to make managerial decisions in the organization of work of executors; Determine the conditions of socio-economic support for different categories of the population; Identify social problems and needs and the causes of their occurrence, development trends, consequences, social status of certain categories of the population; Analyze the effectiveness of socio-economic support of the population and make appropriate adjustments within the competence; Analyze and assess the level of material and economic protection of different categories of the population; Determine the content of cooperation with organizations and institutions in order to involve them in social protection; Make practical decisions to improve social welfare and increase social security; Apply regulatory framework to protect social groups; Explain current processes in the social sphere and social security; Use relevant research and apply research skills in the provision of social assistance; Effectively work both individually and as part of an interdisciplinary team of specialists; Demonstrate the ability to creatively solve problems and make innovative decisions, think and apply creative abilities to form fundamentally new ideas. Develop regulatory documentation on social security, insurance, employment, etc .; Develop measures to improve the social protection system; Identify the main areas of cooperation between government agencies and NGOs; Critically evaluate the results obtained, elaborate and defend the decisions made on the basis of factual / empirical data of practice; Analyze the state of affairs, identify the causes of shortcomings and disruptions of planned activities; Apply their knowledge and understanding to carry out professional activities in the field of social security, aimed at socio - economic change; Apply their knowledge for professional counseling of consumers of social security services; Provide objective professional information to central and local bodies of state power, local self-government, public organizations on social development, formation and evaluation of social security services, social policy; Provide informational and normative-legal assistance to public organizations on the formation of social projects financed from regional and local budgets; Determine the content of cooperation with anti-corruption bodies to eliminate the social preconditions of corruption, the causes and conditions of corruption; Identify opportunities for constitutional and legal regulation of public relationships; Adhere to the current legislation of Ukraine in the performance of official duties in working with various social groups and individuals, do not violate the rights and interests of legal entities. Search for information from various sources to solve professional problems; Systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of new ideas; To combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for solving problems of the specialty, taking into account universal values, public and state interests. Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest trends in the social sciences. Ability to defend a patriotic state position in communications; Inform the public about socio-economic initiatives and programs implemented at the level of the state, region, region; Ability to determine the social orientation of public organizations, the motivation of their activities; Ability to use a variety of methods for effective communication at the professional and social levels; Ability to adapt to new situations and make decisions; Ability to treat the work responsibly and achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.

Work placement(s): An important aspect of preparation of specialists in social security (Social Welfare) are educational and qualification practices that take place in the institutions of social protection, such as Departments of Social Welfare of regional state administrations, the structural units of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, Employment Fund of Ukraine, the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine.
