Characteristics of the educational program: The curriculum includes on-campus classes (lectures, seminars, laboratory classes and practical classes) and independent studies. The programme provides up-to-date specializations which enable further professional and academic career, including electrical power plants, electrical systems and networks, electric systems of electricity consumption, power generation and distribution control systems, electromechanical automation systems and electric drive, electromechatronics, energy safety. Training under this programme relies on the well-known principles and results of the contemporary research in the field of power engineering, electrical engineering and electromechanics and provides opportunities for gaining research skills required for academic career. Master's graduates majoring in this specialty can design, study, operate and maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems, electromechanical systems of industrial mechanisms, automated aggregates for electrical engineering systems and control systems for electric vehicles.
Програмні результати навчання: - knowledge of the development trends and the most important new developments in the field of energy; - knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts, theories and methods necessary for solving problems in the energy sector; - knowledge about theoretical and applied research in the energy field, including sustainable energy; - in-depth knowledge of European and national energy security strategies, understanding of special features of energy supply and infrastructure of countries and regions. - knowledge of the development trends and the most important new developments in the field of energy; - knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts, theories and methods necessary for solving problems in the energy sector; - knowledge about theoretical and applied research in the energy field, including sustainable energy; - in-depth knowledge of European and national energy security strategies, understanding of special features of energy supply and infrastructure of countries and regions. - аbility to apply knowledge and understanding for critically evaluate modern concepts, theoretical approaches and ideas through professional activities in the energy security area and energy policy implementation; - аbility to explain, choose methods and simulate actual phenomena and processes in the energy security field using software; - аbility to analyze collected and summarized informational and analytical materials, results obtained in the energy policy area.
