Characteristics of the educational program: The educational program is based on the well known position and results of modern scientific research on electronics and focused on modern specialization with further possibility of professional and scientific career: electronics, electronic devices and systems. Students obtains the necessary knowledge of fundamental and oriented on profession, natural sciences, based on the physical principles of electronic engineering, physical basis of sensors, information and materials technology, forecasting, development and production of materials, components and devices of electronic equipment; projection (designing), production technology, research, testing, montage and installation of electronic devices. Experts in electronics possess of the necessary knowledge in electronics and telecommunications. Laboratory classes are carried out by means of the most modern electronic equipment and software, basically of modern equipment and electronic components leading companies, in particular, STMicroelectronics, Cypress, Analog Devices. Modern equipment and electronic components leading companies, for example, STMicroelectronics, cypress, Analog Devices, NVR 3m - installation creation of organic structures VUP-5M - deposited metal contacts 4145 - a semiconductor parameter analyzer - a complex measure electro LEDs and transistor characteristics. In the period of educational practice students carried out of various research tasks and developed of component and devices of electronic equipment, acquainted with the structures of electronics companies, development of design documentation of elements and systems of electronic equipment, etc.
Gained competence: 1. Possession of sufficient knowledge in the electronics and telecommunications fields will allow to critically analyze the situation in the electronics field and identify key trends in its development; 2. Be able to have a modern methodology for justifying decisions and choosing a strategy based on social and industrial interests in electronics; 3. Understanding of tools and strategies related to diagnosing and analyzing the electronics development state at a level that will allow employees in the specialty to effectively use in practice theoretical knowledge in the formation and implementation of services in the electronics and telecommunications fields; 4. Knowledge and understanding of scientific principles underlying electronics; 5. Knowledge of the basics of the professionally oriented discipline of specialty 171 "Electronics"; 6. Using the latest information and communication technologies in research; 7. Knowledge and skills in the development and implementation of new elements and systems of electronic technology; 8. Knowledge and understanding of methodologies for design and modernization of electronics devices and devices following regulatory requirements of current standards and specifications; 9. Knowledge of modern achievements of innovative technologies in the electronics field; 10. Understanding the impact of the technical advancements in the social, economic, social, and environmental context; 11. Knowledge of the basics of economics and project management in electronics; 12. Acquisition of adequate knowledge and understanding related to the specialty 171 "Electronics", the scale of which will be sufficient to successfully organize and conduct research on technical topics.
1. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve problems of electronic technology development, using known methods; 2. Use general and special control-measuring and testing equipment, calculate the results of the experiment; 3. Systematically think and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas in electronics; 4. Apply knowledge of technical characteristics, physical and technological features of creation and improvement of electronics devices; 5. Carry out calculations of the forecasted parameters and characteristics of electronic devices according to the set algorithms and using the computer; 6. Search for information in various sources to solve current problems of electronics; 7. Work effectively both individually and as a team; 8. Identify, classify and describe work in the electronics field; 9. To combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for solving current problems of electronics, considering universal values, social, state, and industrial interests; 10. Perform relevant research and apply research skills in electronics; 11. Critically evaluate the results of research and development, and reasonably defend the decisions made; 12. To use in practice the acquired knowledge of electronics basics, apply methodological tools in the development of electronic devices, analyze the research results in the context of existing theories, and make appropriate conclusions.

Academic mobility: No, but mobility is encouraged and recognized in accordance to ECTS procedures
Work placement(s): An important aspect of training of specialist in electronics is the training and qualification of educational and technological practices that take place in university laboratories and leading industries of Western Ukraine.
