Qualification requirements and regulations, including graduation requirements: Total studying program completion, pre-diploma practice according to masters’ qualification thesis topic and masters’ qualification thesis defence.
Characteristics of the educational program: Educational and professional program is based on well-known statements and modern scientific research results in telecommunications, in particular, telecommunication software platforms, and orients students at promising specialties, in which further professional and scientific career is possible as professional in telecommunications and redioengineering. Laboratory activities are performed using modern telecommunication equipment and leading software developers’ products.
Програмні результати навчання: Knowledge: • methodology of research in telecommunication engineering, methods of search for innovative and technical solutions; • mathematical methods of multiservice networks analysis and synthesis, multiservice networks technologies and protocols; • computer technologies and tools of engineering and scientific calculations, data processing, graphics, modeling, simulation and optimization, advanced tools of information technologies; • technologies and hardware - software implementation of converged network platforms; • technologies for mobile communication networks, telecommunication networks design. Skills: • planning and performance of experimental research on information networks and their components, selection of measuring equipment and means of documenting the results wherein applying advanced metrological implementation of information and telecommunication technologies, standards and norms; • simulation of processes in information networks or their components to obtain experimental data without manufacturing operating models, whereas using the acquired knowledge and mathematical modelling techniques; • telecommunication networks design, radio frequency cell networks planning and design; • information security systems development in information communication networks. Communication: • ability to analyze and initiate implementation of world most advanced scientific and technical achievements in telecommunications while processing various information sources; • ability to navigate in the global processes of information infrastructures development using appropriate knowledge needed for information networks design; • ability to constantly improve knowledge of modern technologies and arrange appropriate staff training; • ability to synthesize optimal for various criteria telecommunication systems and information communication networks or their components on the basis of mathematical analysis utilizing methods of optimization theory and computer technology. Autonomy and responsibility: • ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. • ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge. • ability to act responsibly to the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. • ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic environmental principles, occupational safety and health and their application.
