Characteristics of the educational program: The purpose of the educational program is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills and abilities to conduct research in the field of social and behavioral sciences, sufficient for the successful performance of professional duties of a specialist in "Sociology" of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education.
Gained competence: Integral competence Ability to solve complex theoretical and methodological and applied problems in the field of social and behavioral sciences, including sociology, to conduct research and innovation, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and creation of new holistic knowledge, as well as practical implementation of sociological technologies. General Competences (LC) 1. Deep systemic competencies in the field of modern research methods in the field of sociology and related fields. 2. Ability to independently search, critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize new ideas. 3. Ability to effectively communicate with the general scientific community and the public on topical issues of sociology, social and behavioral sciences, to organize and conduct training sessions using modern information and communication tools. 4. Ability to competently present scientific information in oral and written forms (including in a foreign language) using appropriate vocabulary. 5. Initiative, research skills, creativity in setting and implementing research ideas. 6. Ability to self-development and self-improvement throughout life, responsibility for teaching others. 7. Ability to perform leadership functions in teamwork and autonomous research. 8. Social responsibility for the results of professional decisions.
Special (professional) competencies (FC) 1. In-depth knowledge of current trends and major new scientific advances in sociology and related sciences. 2. Systematic knowledge and understanding of modern scientific theories and methods, and the ability to effectively apply them to the synthesis and analysis of new scientific ideas. 3. Ability to effectively apply methods of analysis, mathematical modeling and forecasting in research. 4. Ability to integrate knowledge from other disciplines, apply a systematic approach to research, solving scientific problems. 5. Ability to develop and implement projects, including own research, which provide an opportunity to rethink existing or create new knowledge, formulating them logically and consistently. 6. Ability to argue and critically evaluate the results, bring them to the notice of the consumer, to defend the decisions made.
Program learning outcomes. Knowledge 1. Ability to demonstrate systematic knowledge of modern research methods in the field of sociology, social and behavioral sciences. 2. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the chosen field of research. 3. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of domestic and foreign scientific achievements and practical experience in the field of sociology. 4. Ability to demonstrate understanding of the impact of decisions and results obtained in the process of research on social processes. 5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the philosophical methodology of scientific knowledge, psychological and pedagogical aspects of professional and scientific activities, their own scientific worldview and moral and cultural values. 6. Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of a foreign language, necessary for oral and written presentation of research results, professional scientific dialogue, full understanding of foreign scientific texts.

Other program features: The educational component of the educational and scientific program covers a wide range of innovative areas of development of the theory and practice of sociology, which contributes to the actualization of the theoretical and applied basis for the implementation of scientific research. The scientific component of the educational and scientific program is determined by the individual curriculum of the graduate student.
