Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and scientific program is based on the fundamental tenets of ecology and the results of modern scientific research. It is aimed at the development of theoretical and methodological and methodological and applied base of ecology with accentuation of the latest tendencies of development of ecology, which deepens the professional scientific outlook and provides a basis for carrying out scientific researches and further professional and scientific activity.
Gained competence: • Assimilation of the history of development and current state of scientific knowledge in the chosen specialty, discussion of publications and research in the field, mastering the terminology of the research area in accordance with the standard of higher education. • Understanding of typical technologies of industrial treatment plants of different types of complexity and the ability to create technologies that are efficient, economically sound, environmentally friendly and resource-saving. • Ability to study phenomena and processes in complex dynamic ecological and environmental systems, using mathematical and computer modeling methods to calculate the area of pollution by emissions / discharges from a set of dispersed sources. • The presence of deep sound knowledge in the field of ecological biotechnology, a detailed understanding of the processes occurring in ecosystems under conditions of sustainable development and man-made stress, the principles of solving environmental problems by biotechnological methods. • Understanding of methods and technological schemes of solid waste utilization, principles of designing landfills for household waste and technologies of industrial waste disposal. • Ability to solve complex problems in the field of ecology and protection of the atmosphere, lithosphere or hydrosphere through the use of methods and techniques for cleaning environments from pollutants. • Ability on the basis of theoretical data, instructions, regulations, the results of the analysis of relevant environments to determine the factors and scale of the impact of planned economic activities on the environment. • Understanding of the theoretical foundations underlying the methods of research of the state of the environment, information support and methodology of field and in-house research.
• Ability to compare different types of sciences and their methodological features; analyze scientific pictures of the world (NCS); explain the impact of technology on people's lives, economics and politics. • Ability to adapt and summarize the results of modern research in the field of ecology to solve scientific and practical problems. • Ability to choose the most optimal research methodologies and independently carry out research activities in the field of ecology using modern methods of environmental protection. • Ability to select and use ready-made software tools for processing the results of monitoring, research and analysis of dependencies, building forecasts for models of phenomena and situations. • Demonstrate scientific views in assessing the impact on living systems and biological diversity of biotic and abiotic factors of local and global origin. • Ability to integrate existing methods and research methods in the field of solid waste management and utilization of consumption and production. • Be able to develop an algorithm for solving scientific and applied problems in the field of protection of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere, as well as initiate an original research and innovation technology project that has scientific novelty, theoretical and practical value and helps solve significant scientific or security problems.
Сommunicative skills at the level of free communication in a foreign language environment with specialists and non-specialists on the problems of ecology, environmental protection and balanced use of nature. Describe the results of scientific research in professional publications in domestic and foreign specialized publications, including those included in Scopus science database or similar databases.
