Characteristics of the educational program: Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills sufficient for the successful completion of original research in Telecommunications and Radio Engineering, aimed at obtaining new scientific knowledge, preparation and defense of the Ph.D thesis, further professional and scientific activities. The scientific component of the educational program is determined by the individual postgraduate curriculum.
Gained competence: - the ability to provide knowledge and understanding of the scientific and mathematical principles underlying telecommunications and radio engineering, including techniques for conducting experiments, collecting and processing data, modeling methods and tools; - knowledge of the applied technologies of telecommunication and radio engineering systems to carrying out scientific researches at the level of the latest world achievements and aimed at their expansion and deepening; - the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the basics of economics and the management of research projects; - the ability to review and search information in specialized datasources; - the ability to publish scientific articles in major scientific journals; - the ability to apply knowledge and skills to identify, formulate and solve technical problems of a specialty, using known and established methods; - the ability to apply knowledge and understanding to solve the problems of synthesis and analysis in telecommunication systems; - ability to combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy of activity for solving scientific problems in the specialty taking into account common human values, public, state and industrial interests; - the ability to perform relevant experimental research and apply research skills on a professional topic.
- the ability to identify, classify and describe the operation of systems and their components; - the ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team; - the ability to prepare and successfully defense of a thesis based on individual research, and to use (and acknowledge) the results of other members of the research team; - the ability to be aware of the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen acquired and acquire new professional knowledge; - the ability to be responsible for the work performed and to achieve the stated goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; - the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of occupational safety and health and their application.
