Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning: Assuming that preceding grade was obtained in another country, the nostrification provided by Lviv polytechnic national university is required. There are no mechanisms of acknowledgement of informal and nonformal education.
Characteristics of the educational program: The educational-professional programme is based on well-known provisions and results of modern scientific research on information and communication, telecommunication systems.
Програмні результати навчання: Knowledge: 1) know the principles of functioning, protocols and methods of building information and communication networks ; 2) understand and comply with domestic and international regulations on the development, implementation and technical operation of information and communication networks; 3) explain the principles of construction and functioning of hardware and software systems of management and maintenance systems for the development, analysis and operation of information and communication networks, telecommunication and radio systems; 4) skills in configuring information and communication infrastructure and its elements; 5) master the technologies of management of information and communication systems and information services for the provision of services; 6) skills in creating and managing modern databases; 7) master machine learning technologies for solving problems of recognition, forecasting, classification, identification of objects; 8) ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in conducting experiments, data collection and modelling of information and communication systems and networks; 9) ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of design methodology, relevant regulations, applicable standards and specifications; 10) ability to demonstrate knowledge of the current state of affairs and the latest technologies in the field of telecommunications; 11) know the principles and methods of application development using various platforms. Abilities: 1) analyse, argue, make decisions in solving specialised problems and practical problems of infocommunications, which are characterised by complexity and incomplete certainty of conditions; 2) to analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of design methods for information and communication networks, telecommunication and radio engineering systems; 3) application of fundamental and applied sciences to analyse and develop processes occurring in information and communication and radio engineering systems; 4) applying the understanding of the basic properties of the component base to ensure the quality and reliability of the functioning of information, communication and radio engineering systems and devices; 5) to find, evaluate and use information from various sources necessary for solving professional problems, including the reproduction of information through electronic search; 6) to carry out standard tests of information and communication networks, telecommunication and radio engineering systems for compliance with the requirements of national and international regulations; 7) to control the technical condition of information and communication networks, telecommunication and radio technical systems in the course of their technical operation in order to detect deterioration in the quality of functioning or failures, and to systematically record it by means of documentation; 8) to think systematically and apply creative abilities to the formation of fundamentally new ideas; 9) to combine theory and practice, as well as to make decisions and develop a strategy for solving the problems of the speciality (specialisation), taking into account universal values, public, state and industrial interests; 10) create, deploy and administer various types of applications.
