Characteristics of the educational program: - subject area (field of knowledge, specialty): electrical engineering: electric power, electrical engineering, electromechanics; - orientation of the educational program: educational and professional interdisciplinary program focused on identifying, analyzing and forecasting current trends, challenges, threats and prospects in the field of energy security at the national, regional and global levels, reflecting current specializations in which further professional and scientific career is possible - main focus of the educational program and specialization: special education and training in the field of energy security with the possibility of acquiring the necessary management, analytical and research skills for professional and scientific careers; - features and differences: the program includes professional disciplines of the specialty "International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies".
Gained competence: - ability to demonstrate knowledge of the current state, development trends, the most important developments and the latest technologies in the field of energy security at the national and global levels, to critically evaluate them; - ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of highly specialized (political, managerial, economic, legal, environmental, technical, communication, etc.) aspects of energy security; - ability to demonstrate an understanding of the impact of policy decisions in the field of energy security in economic, social and environmental contexts; - possession of skills of work with foreign information materials, their systematization, generalization of data, identification of key points.
- apply their knowledge and understanding to critically evaluate modern concepts, theoretical approaches and ideas during professional activities in the field of energy security and energy policy; - ability to explain, choose methods and model current phenomena and processes in the field of energy security, using software, as well as analyze the collected and generalized information and analytical materials, the results obtained on a specific situation in the field of energy policy; - independently plan and perform research, evaluate the results obtained; - apply information and communication technologies to analyze the situation in the energy sector; - search, analyze and critically evaluate information from various sources; - work effectively both individually and as a team; - combine theory and practice, as well as make decisions and develop a strategy for solving problems of specialization, taking into account universal values, social, state and industrial interests; - independently perform analytical research and apply research skills on professional topics; - critically analyze the main indicators of the functioning of energy systems of different levels from the standpoint of energy security; - ability to think systematically and creatively interpret facts and events at the global, regional and local levels, integrating knowledge from other disciplines and taking into account non-technical aspects when solving problems of the chosen specialization and conducting research; - argue the choice of methods for solving a specialized problem, critically evaluate the results and defend the decisions made; - apply their knowledge to advise stakeholders on energy development (national and international dimensions).
