Features and differences
Specialists are prepared for scientific research, organizational and managerial, economic, commercial, and investment activities in the oil and gas, mining, and related industries. There are 2 lines in total.
Line 1. Technology of oil and gas complex processes.
Study technological processes of extraction (mining), transportation, and storage of oil and gas. Fundamentals of oil and gas processing technology.
Line 2. Operation and diagnostics of mining and fuel complex facilities.
Acquisition of competencies necessary for assessing the condition of mines, oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and other oil and gas and mining complex facilities for their further safe operation.
Програмні результати навчання: Learning outcomes (LO)
LO1. Know and understand the concepts, patterns, and features of the development of civil society, human and citizen rights and freedoms in Ukraine, and the ethical and legal principles of professional activity.
LO2. Know the theories, principles, methods, and concepts of mining and oil and gas technologies, and understand the current state and role of the mining and oil and gas industries in ensuring the energy security of Ukraine.
LO3. Analyze and develop elements of technological schemes and technical devices of well drilling systems, production, transportation, and oil and gas storage.
LO4. Communicate fluently in the state and foreign languages on professional issues orally and in writing, have skills in working with foreign technical publications.
LO5. Find the necessary information in scientific and reference literature, databases, the Internet, and other sources, evaluate, interpret, and apply this information.
LO6. Analyze geological processes, basic formation patterns, and rocks' properties, including oil and gas deposits.
LO7. Apply modern digital technologies and specialized software to solve engineering and management problems related to implementing basic technologies for mineral extraction, transportation, and oil and gas storage.
LO8. Make effective decisions on professional issues in difficult-to-predict hazardous conditions, considering goals, deadlines, resource and legislative restrictions, environmental and ethical aspects.
LO9. Apply basic concepts and methods of fundamental and applied sciences to solve specialized problems in mining and oil and gas engineering.
LO10. Predict and analyze the physicochemical properties of oil and gas in their extraction, transportation, and storage processes.
LO11. Calculate the parameters of hydro-gas dynamic processes accompanying the movement of oil, gas, and technological fluids in the formation/wells/industrial, and main pipelines using the laws of thermodynamics, hydraulics, gas dynamics, and modern methods of relevant calculations.
LO12. Using relevant mathematical and engineering methods, calculate the technological parameters of oil and gas wells, oil and gas preparation systems, industrial and main gas pipelines, and gas and oil storage facilities.
LO13. Analyze the operating conditions of the constituent elements of oil and gas and production technical complexes, make the optimal selection of technological equipment, and optimize the operating mode according to certain criteria, including under conditions of uncertainty.
LO14. Analyze and assess the technical condition of the technological equipment of oil and gas facilities using technical diagnostics in industrial and laboratory conditions.
LO15. Considering the goals and existing limitations, choose effective means of control and automation of technological processes in the mining, oil, and gas industries.
LO16. Planned and organized the work of a mining, oil, and gas enterprise's structural unit per life safety, labor protection, and environmental protection requirements.
LO17. Communicate information, ideas, problems, solutions, experience, and arguments on extraction, oil and gas technologies, and related problems to specialists and non-specialists.
LO18. Organize and manage the professional development of individuals and groups in oil and gas technologies.
LO19. Know the basics of preventing corruption, public and academic integrity at the level necessary for the formation of intolerance to corruption and manifestations of dishonest behavior among students, and be able to apply them in professional activities.
