Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental philosophical theories and concepts in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, ethical and legal norms governing interpersonal relationship and man’s attitude to environment; 2. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of evolution of linguistic paradigms of the XIX-XXI centuries; to understand linguistics as a study of ontology of language as a system of signs, language structure and its functions; to understand principles of relationship between language and society, language and culture, language and thinking, language and religion, language and social strata; to perceive language as a factor of ethnic and national unity; 3. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern scientific linguistic methods used in lexicography, corpus and cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, terminology, machine translation, etc.; 4. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the essence of language as a social phenomenon, its connection with thinking, culture and people's social development; fundamental relationship between language and the world; origin and evolution of language, as well as its levels; the main units of language and speech; functional properties of language; 5. To know and understand a language system, general properties of literature as an art of words, history of languages and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in the workplace; 6. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of principles of translation as a special type of communication, taking into account its objective and subjective aspects, as well as its main types; 7. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of systems analysis and theoretical cybernetics methods in the construction of information models of various objects and processes. 1.
