Characteristics of the educational program: The generalized object of the master's work in metallurgy is: metallurgy of cast alloys and modern technologies of foundry; technological, mechanical and operational properties of cast alloys; methods for determining casting defects; methods for eliminating casting defects; computer simulation of tooling and foundry processes; computer modeling of products of art, jewelry, dental and orthopedic molding; use of additive technologies in foundry. Students gain knowledge in socio-economic and professional subjects in an amount sufficient to carry out production functions in the field of metallurgy.
Gained competence: - development of optimal approaches for creating cast alloys; - forecasting the development paths and behavior of foundry materials in various operating conditions; - carrying out expert research for the purpose of certification and determining the quality of materials; - substantiation of the optimal choice of foundry materials in accordance with the standards of GOST, EN and ISO; - development and use of computer databases on manufacturing technology will equip, products of art, jewelry, dental and orthopedic casting; - the ability to use professional and specialized knowledge and practical skills to solve specific problems of foundry; - the ability to analyze and evaluate the range of tasks that contribute to the efficient use of natural resources and products of foundries.
- on the organization of work of production divisions of injection enterprises; - the ability to apply information support and prepare business documents; - the ability to work on modern computer technology and use specialized software for the design, simulation and calculation of foundry technological processes; - the ability to manage projects in the field of metallurgy and the implementation of completed projects in accordance with international standards; - the ability to embody the principles and foundations of the protection of intellectual property rights, realize the need to protect intellectual property; - the ability to use modern CAD / CAM / CAE systems for the calculation and design of products, equipment and equipment of the metallurgical industry; - the ability to analyze and predict the operational properties of cast products, the causes of casting defects using modern computer simulation systems.

Occupational profiles of graduates: The professional activity of masters of metallurgy is determined by the use of acquired knowledge and skills in the field of foundry, the latest technologies for modeling and manufacturing products, creating new technological processes, carrying out marketing activities, performing the functions of managers and organizers of production. The field of activity of masters in metallurgy is research institutions, enterprises of machine-building, instrument-making, automotive, aerospace, jewelry, art, metallurgy, energy, medicine, as well as educational institutions of different levels of accreditation. They are able to carry out professional activities in the positions of process engineers, designers of various divisions of enterprises, scientific employees of industry and research institutes, assistants and teachers of educational institutions of different levels of accreditation, consultants, managers, experts in metallurgical and foundry products.

Other program features: The program is implemented in Ukrainian. Curriculum is adapted to European programs under the Bologna process based on the implementation of the international project TEMPUS MMATENG. During the study, students have the opportunity to participate in international academic mobility program ERASMUS + KA1 in Belgium, France, and Poland.
