Gained competence: • awareness at the level of the latest achievements required for research in the field of environmental biotechnology, the principles of solving environmental problems by biotechnological methods. • ability to apply interdisciplinary approaches (methods of mathematical and computer modeling) in order to standardize production activities and forecasting. • ability to use the principles, methods and organizational procedures of research activities for research and modeling of waste management schemes. • ability to use the management principles on which the environmental safety system is based in the field of professional and civil safety. • ability to participate in the development of effective measures for adaptation to climate change caused by man-made and natural loads. • ability to assess the level of negative impact of natural and anthropogenic environmental hazards on the environment and man. • ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, self-education and training based on innovative approaches in the field of ecology, environmental protection and sustainable use of nature. • ability to independently develop environmental projects through the creative application of existing and generating new ideas. • ability to prove knowledge and own conclusions to specialists and non-specialists. • ability to use in practice the methodological, regulatory and methodological principles of environmental management and the concept of sustainable development, including in the field of climate change.
• acquiring the ability to self-education and training based on innovative approaches in the field of ecology, environmental protection and sustainable use of nature. • know and understand the fundamental and applied aspects in the field of environmental biotechnology. • demonstrate awareness of the latest principles and methods of environmental protection, using methods of regulation and forecasting of industrial pollution emissions. • know at the level of the latest achievements the basic concepts of modeling of industrial waste treatment processes and the methodology of scientific knowledge. • know the principles of personnel and resource management, basic approaches to decision-making in terms of professional and civil security. • demonstrate awareness of strategy for adaptation to climate change and decision-making on risks and vulnerabilities to climate change for health, economic sectors and natural ecosystems. • ability to calculate sewage engineering structures and design technological schemes for industrial emissions treatment. • know the legal and ethical standards for the assessment of professional activity, development and implementation of socially significant environmental projects in the face of conflicting requirements. • demonstrate the ability to organize collective activities and implement comprehensive environmental projects, taking into account available resources and time constraints. • be able to communicate clearly and unambiguously professional knowledge, own justifications and conclusions to specialists and the general public. • be able to use the system of environmental standardization and certification to assess anthropogenic and natural pressures in order to conduct on an ongoing basis an assessment of actual expected climate change and their consequences.
