Co-requisites
• Hydraulic Structure
Summary of the subject: Subject: methodology of hydrological calculations and performance of hydrometric works on water bodies.
Content: Hydrology is a complex science of the Earth that uses physical and mathematical methods to study natural waters along with the phenomena and processes that occur in them and determine the distribution of water both on the Earth's surface and in the Earth's layers. The conclusions of hydrology in relation to the comprehensive assessment of the hydrological regime of individual water bodies and territories are used to implement water management measures aimed at the rational use of water resources. Without hydrological and hydrometric data, as well as without knowledge of the basics of hydraulics, its special sections and methods of hydraulic calculations, it is not possible to competently design a single hydraulic structure.
Опис: Water cycle in nature. Water bodies and their hydrological regime, hydrological research methods. Hydrology of the rivers. Types of power and phase of the water regime of rivers. Level and thermal regime of rivers. Kinematics of river flow. Formation of river sediments and their characteristics. Hydrology of lakes and wetlands. Hydrometric monitoring and measurement. Determination of water. Hydrological calculations. The rate of flow. The maximum and minimum flow. The coefficients of variation and asymmetry. Adjusting the flow.
Assessment methods and criteria: Examination and evaluation of students' knowledge is carried out in the following forms:
1. Assessment of students' work during practical classes.
2. Evaluation of the mastery of questions presented for independent study.
3. Evaluation of the control work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • calculate- graphic work, current oral examination (30%)
• final control (exam): written-oral form (70%)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Evaluation of the student's educational achievements is carried out on a 100-point scale. The method of distributing and awarding points to higher education applicants is regulated by the "Regulations on the organization and implementation of current and semester monitoring of the results of studies of students of the Lviv Polytechnic National University".
