Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competences in the students of education integral: IK. the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of hydraulic construction, water engineering and water technologies, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions, based on the application of theories and methods of natural and engineering sciences. professional competences of the specialty of the professional direction: FK4. The ability to assess the needs of consumers in water resources and the anthropogenic load on water bodies. FK5. Ability to perform engineering calculations of parameters of water flows and structural elements of objects of professional activity. FK17. The ability to identify the causes and negative consequences of the harmful effects of water, apply appropriate methods of protecting territories, make calculations and design protective structures.
Learning outcomes: PH1. Formulate tasks for solving problem situations in professional and / or academic activities. PH6. Identify and take into account climatic, engineering-geological, hydrogeological, hydrological and ecological features of territories in the design, construction and operation of professional activities.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: • Higher mathematics • Engineering geodesy • Technical Mechanics of Liquid and Gas Co-requisites • Hydraulic Structure
Summary of the subject: Subject: methodology of hydrological calculations and performance of hydrometric works on water bodies. Content: Hydrology is a complex science of the Earth that uses physical and mathematical methods to study natural waters along with the phenomena and processes that occur in them and determine the distribution of water both on the Earth's surface and in the Earth's layers. The conclusions of hydrology in relation to the comprehensive assessment of the hydrological regime of individual water bodies and territories are used to implement water management measures aimed at the rational use of water resources. Without hydrological and hydrometric data, as well as without knowledge of the basics of hydraulics, its special sections and methods of hydraulic calculations, it is not possible to competently design a single hydraulic structure.
Опис: Water cycle in nature. Water bodies and their hydrological regime, hydrological research methods. Hydrology of the rivers. Types of power and phase of the water regime of rivers. Level and thermal regime of rivers. Kinematics of river flow. Formation of river sediments and their characteristics. Hydrology of lakes and wetlands. Hydrometric monitoring and measurement. Determination of water. Hydrological calculations. The rate of flow. The maximum and minimum flow. The coefficients of variation and asymmetry. Adjusting the flow.
Assessment methods and criteria: Examination and evaluation of students' knowledge is carried out in the following forms: 1. Assessment of students' work during practical classes. 2. Evaluation of the mastery of questions presented for independent study. 3. Evaluation of the control work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • calculate- graphic work, current oral examination (30%) • final control (exam): written-oral form (70%)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Evaluation of the student's educational achievements is carried out on a 100-point scale. The method of distributing and awarding points to higher education applicants is regulated by the "Regulations on the organization and implementation of current and semester monitoring of the results of studies of students of the Lviv Polytechnic National University".
