Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline "Fire-fighting water supply" is to provide students with theoretical foundations and practical knowledge of this educational discipline. As a result of studying the discipline, students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in analyzing information about the availability of developed and substantiated measures to increase the level of fire protection of the object; development and substantiation of measures, engineering and technical solutions to prevent the occurrence and spread of fires by selecting and evaluating the parameters of fire-fighting water supply systems; apply knowledge of the laws of hydraulics, mechanics of liquids and gases during the verification of projects and control of water supply systems, and acquire the ability to apply this knowledge to the design of fire protection water supply systems.

The ability to assess the needs of consumers in water resources and the anthropogenic load on water bodies. FC5. Ability to perform engineering calculations of parameters of water flows and structural elements of objects of professional activity. FC6. The ability to effectively use modern construction materials, products and structures in water engineering in the design, construction and reconstruction of objects of professional activity. FC9. Ability to carry out engineering searches, calculations and design of objects of professional activity. FC15. The ability to organize and control the rational use of natural resources. FC17. The ability to identify the causes and negative consequences of the harmful effects of water, apply appropriate methods of protecting territories, make calculations and design protective structures. FCS1.1. Ability to design water management networks and structures as part of a project team. FCS1.3. Knowledge of kinematic and dynamic characteristics of open and pressure flows of liquids in the structures of water management and hydrotechnical systems. FCS1.4. The ability to implement technological processes and modes of operation of equipment and equipment of water management systems. FCS1.6. The ability to control the use of water resources.

Design of clean water tanks. 7. Design of water towers. 8. Selection of operating parameters of pumping stations. 9. Arrangement of pipeless fire-fighting water supply (natural reservoirs). 10. Installation of pipeless fire-fighting water supply (artificial reservoirs). 11. Classification and schemes of internal fire-fighting water supply. 12. Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of students' knowledge in the discipline "Fire-fighting water supply" is carried out in the form of current controls and semester control of knowledge, which is carried out at the end of the semester. Current control is carried out during classes and during practical work. Semester control is carried out by performing test tasks in the Virtual Learning Environment of NU "LP". The total number of points obtained for the current control and the exam determine the overall grade for the subject.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
