Learning outcomes: know: •the characteristics of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw (or their analogues) applications, etc.•the requirements of regulations on preparing and submitting of scientific papers, thesis, abstracts, and presentationsbe able_•apply the available capabilities of Word for effective processing of texts for further preparation and design of scientific articles, dissertations, abstracts, presentations, reports (creation of automatic table of contents and bibliography, bookmarks, references, etc.).•work in graphic editors, create, and edit vector graphics in Word, PowerPoint, CorelDraw (or their analogues), etc.•convert vector to raster graphics from various graphic editors and then insert them into a text document or presentation_
Required prior and related subjects: Computer science
Summary of the subject: Required knowledge of the requirements of current regulations (in particular, the requirements of MES of Ukraine concerning the registration of thesis) and the involvement of existing capacities of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw application (or analogs) for preparing and performing of scientific papers, thesis, abstracts, and presentations, reports. While studying, the aspirants should acquire skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw applications (or analogs); be able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw etc for proper and efficient preparing of scientific papers, thesis, abstracts, presentations, and reports involving graphic and spreadsheet files.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: (oral examination, control measures (40%)) Final control (60% of exam): written-oral form
