Learning outcomes: know: • typical structures of WSNs and their classification, depending on the method of organization and scope; • intelligent and smart primary transducers, sensors and networks; • basic data transmission protocols in networks. be able to: • provide remote access, encryption and install additional software imported from the industrial Internet; • organize the operation of the WSN • study of the operation of different kinds of Middleware
Required prior and related subjects: • Management of research projects • Foreign language for academic purposes; • Trends in the development of public administration systems;
Summary of the subject: Sensors as a basis for building wireless sensor networks. Development of self-: testing, calibration, calibration of sensors. Quality characteristics of WSNs. Network topology. Methods of information transfer in WSN. Features of WSNs’ operation and their difference from wired networks (for example, power supply of network elements, interaction with each other and nodes). IEEE Protocols applicable to WSNs. Methods for improving the effectiveness of WSNs. Operating Systems and Programming Languages for WSNs.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: (oral examination, control measures (30%)) Final control (70% of exam): written-oral form
