Learning outcomes: • In-depth knowledge of modern physicochemical and biophysical methods for the determination of bioorganic drugs.
• Apply knowledge and understanding to solve problems of synthesis and analysis of elements and systems specific to the chosen field of research.
• Apply a systematic approach, integrating knowledge from other disciplines and taking into account non-technical aspects, when solving theoretical and applied problems of the chosen field of research.
• Argue the choice of methods for solving scientific and applied problems, critically evaluate the results and defend the decisions made.

Summary of the subject: The concept and definition of physico-chemical methods of analysis of bioorganic compounds. Polarimetry. Refractometry. Photometric methods. Types of spectrophotometry. Chromatography basics. Electrophoresis. Nuclear magnetic resonance, its types. Mass spectrometry. X-ray structural analysis. Fluorescence analysis of the substances. Microscopy, its types. Potentiometry. Computer identification of compounds.
Assessment methods and criteria: Written-oral control -30 points;
Final control (exam) - 70 points
