Summary of the subject: The discipline "Research methods in the technology of environmental protection from pollution" studies the essence of complex space and terrestrial methods of environmental research to assess the state and productivity of natural and urban ecosystems in field and laboratory conditions. Instrumental devices for researching the state of environmental objects by remote and contact methods include: spectroradiometric measurements of vegetation parameters; spectropolarization diagnostics of the state of ecosystems; microwave and radar indication of natural groups; diagnosis of plant cover by fluorescence spectroscopy; express testing of plant resistance by the fluorescence induction method; field studies of the temperature regime of vegetation and soils; laser probing of water and forest ecosystems, atmosphere. According to work curricula, students study the discipline in lectures and perform practical work.
Опис: 1. Socio-economic role of complex experimental research 2. Biophysical foundations of experimental methods. 3. Spectroradiometric measurements of vegetation parameters 4. Microwave and radar indication of natural groups. 5. Diagnosis of the state of plants by the method of fluorescence spectroscopy. 6. Express testing of plant resistance by fluorescence induction method. 7. Laser probing of environmental objects
Assessment methods and criteria: Evaluation criteria on a scale of 100 points. Current control 30 points. Exam - 70 points
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Students' knowledge of the discipline is assessed by the following types of controls: 1) assessment of students' knowledge in practical classes; 2) Examination control. Assessment of students' knowledge during practical classes is carried out in the following forms: • survey of theoretical material; • assessment of performance of situational exercises and tasks during class; • evaluation of participation in discussions, summaries of the issues discussed in the practical session. For practical classes, the maximum number of points is assigned according to the following criteria: • survey - for a complete and thorough answer to a given question on the subject of the lesson; • performance of situational exercises and tasks - for the proposed correct algorithm (sequence) of solving the task; for knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the problem posed in the task; for mastering the formulas and mathematical methods necessary to solve the task; for the correct result obtained. • participation in discussions, summarizing the issues under consideration - for knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the problem, the ability to argue one's point of view, the ability to conduct a discussion correctly.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
