Learning outcomes: 1. Knowledge and understanding of scientific principles which are in the basis of formation of demand on transport service; 2. In-depth knowledge of regularities of formation of cargo and passenger flows, organization of their management and development of methods of transport processes organization based on principles of logistics; 3. Knowledge and understanding of techniques of design and modernization of methods, technologies and technical means of transportation for organization of international, mixed, combined, intermodal transportation due to regulatory requirements of existing standards and technical conditions; 4. Knowledge of modern achievements of innovation technologies in the field of transport, traffic regulation, traffic flow management; 5. Acquisition of in-depth knowledge and understandings which relates to the specialty 275 Transport technologies (by modes) which will be sufficient to successfully organize and carry out scientific research and successfully defend their results publicly at scientific seminars and specialized board of studies; 6. Calculate, design, research road network, traffic organization and regulation, transport processes of cargo and passenger transportation, handling operations, carry out marketing analysis; 7. Ability to be responsible to performed work, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.

Summary of the subject: During the study of this academic discipline applicant acquires theoretical and practical knowledge and skills concerning the development of schemes of traffic flow organization including the passage of signalized and unsignalized intersections, based on the results of practical studies, carrying out separate research to simulate these processes on computers during individual study. Different variants of simulation with the use of program product VISSIM of different versions and determination of the main indicators of effectiveness of passage of intersection by traffic flow (vehicle queue length before intersections, speed of passage, transport delays) are reviewed in details. Whole complex of such kind of information meets the requirements of existing norms and standards, and also the modern methods of safety, including environmental, concerning traffic organization.
