Мета вивчення дисципліни: The aim of the course is to help doctoral students to form a system of knowledge and skills to ensure the professional career of modern personality, including understanding their own strengths and potential areas of professional development, familiarity with modern concepts of "time management" and tools to ensure "work-life balance". To create a career development plan taking into account personal values, interests, skills and labour market demand both in business area and at HEIs.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation the following competencies: integral competence: INT. The ability to identify and solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems, to generate new ideas for their complex solution, which involves a deep rethinking of existing and the creation of new integral knowledge in the process of research and professional practice. general competences: GC 2. Mastering general scientific (philosophical) competences aimed at forming a systematic scientific outlook, professional ethics and a general cultural outlook; application of modern information technologies in scientific activities (work with NMBD, automatic formation of references to literary sources) [draft standard: Ability to form a systematic scientific outlook, show creativity, produce and make informed decisions]. GC 5. The ability to work in a team of researchers, show initiative, take responsibility, motivate people and move towards a common goal, professing and adhering to the principles of scientific ethics, show creativity, produce and make informed decisions. GC 6. Acquiring universal skills of a researcher, in particular oral and written presentation of the results of one's own research in Ukrainian, management of scientific projects and/or drafting of proposals for financing scientific research, registration of intellectual property rights, application of modern information technologies. professional competences: PC 5. The ability to carry out public approval of research results, to promote their dissemination in the scientific and practical spheres in both Ukrainian and foreign languages.
Learning outcomes: UM2. Demonstrate a systematic scientific worldview, the ability to think creatively, formulate conclusions and develop recommendations, offer extraordinary approaches using the latest technologies in solving the tasks. UM5. Demonstrate leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team of researchers, communicate effectively on a professional and social level, adhering to the principles of scientific ethics. AiB3. The ability to realize and bear personal responsibility for the obtained research results.

Summary of the subject: The course is designed in order to develop the necessary competencies for doctoral students to ensure their own career development, taking into account the challenges of the labor market, personal goals and motivational incentives. Doctoral students will develop their own competencies by performing practical tasks related to personal career positioning, identification of career development vectors and starting a business. During the classes, doctoral students will be informed with modern concepts of personal career development, its main problems and dynamics of development, and, on this basis, will train the skills of successful interviewing. Considerable attention will be paid to the identification of factors of personal and career effectiveness, on the basis of the use of "self management" tools, interaction with influence groups and strengthening leadership skills. During the course, doctoral students will use the tools of "time management" to form a strategic and proactive workload planning with the provision of "work-life-balance". Another important aspect of this course is to familiarize doctoral students with entrepreneurial opportunities, which involves understanding the key aspects of business analysis, KPI and the search for alternative forms of financing.
Опис: Theme 1. Career development of the modern personality. Theories and concepts of personal career development. Problems and dynamics of professional growth. Theme 2. Career orientations of the modern personality and potential spheres of career development of doctoral students. Development of interview skills, elevator pitch and academic discussion. Theme 3. Personal effectiveness - factors and tools of achievement. Determinants of personal and career development of doctoral students. "Self management" tools (management of impressions and emotional intelligence), interaction in society (groups of influence) and the development of leadership skills. Theme 4. Time management. Personal goals as a key factor in "time management". Strategic and proactive workload planning. Organization and prioritization of projects, tasks and goals. Time management in stressful situations. Tools for achieving "work-life balance". Theme 5. Entrepreneurship. Identification and research of entrepreneurial opportunities for doctoral students. Key aspects of business analysis. Application of KPI. Modern models of business financing - "Crowd funding" and "Accelerators". Construction of "cap table".
Assessment methods and criteria: The current control of students' knowledge in the discipline "Career Management" is carried out in the following forms: - survey or testing of students' knowledge of theoretical material; - individual works in the form of a presentation. Semester control is conducted in the form of credit. Assessment takes place in written form with the following oral component. The student completes the assessment in front of the committee orally with the answers recorded in the written work. Evaluation methods: selective oral survey; preparation of presentations; answers to questions during individual work, assessment of activity, submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, etc. • current control (Self-assessment report and Career exploration report) - 30 points; • final control (discussion) - 70 points.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Performance of individual work (30%): independent work, oral survey: ZB1/ZB2 (15 points each): 1. Presentation skills - 3b. 2. Content and filling - 10b. 3. Further discussion - 2b. - final control (70%, credit): testing (35%), oral answer (35%)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: The final semester grade on a 100-point scale is converted into a state grade in accordance with the system adopted at the University: • 88-100 points – "excellent" • 71-87 points - "good" • 50-70 points – "satisfactory" • 0-49 points – "not satisfactory". The grade "excellent" (88-100 points) is awarded for complete, systematized knowledge. The student must correctly answer the assigned tasks and solve the practical tasks, minor mechanical errors are allowed that do not significantly distort the overall result of the practical tasks. • The grade "good" (71-87 points) assumes that, in general, having mastered the material, the student answers most of the tasks correctly and makes minor inaccuracies and individual errors when solving practical problems. • A grade of "satisfactory" (50-70 points) is given to a student who has significant deficiencies in solving assigned tasks and has gaps in practical knowledge, but tried to solve tasks where he could have made mistakes. • The grade "unsatisfactory" (less than 50 points) is assigned to a student who does not understand the essence of the questions, does not know the basic concepts of the subject and did not answer them correctly.
