Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the academic discipline is to form students' understanding of the conditions and factors of formation, mechanisms and tools of functioning of the global economy, awareness of their intellectual mission to make balanced management decisions in the context of overall civilizational progress.
Завдання: 1. ability for written and oral communication in Ukrainian and English (or other) languages; 2. the ability to evaluate and forecast international political, economic, social events and phenomena; 3. the ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis, which allows you to formulate conclusions (diagnosis) for various types of complex management tasks, plan, analyze, control and evaluate one's own work and the work of others; 4. the ability to conduct research at an appropriate level, to have research skills that are manifested in the ability to form (by making presentations or presenting reports) new products in the chosen field, to choose appropriate directions and appropriate methods for their implementation, taking into account available resources.
Learning outcomes: 1. To generalize, think critically and analyze the phenomena and problems studied, to show flexibility in decision-making on the basis of logical arguments and verified facts in the conditions of limited time and resources on the basis of general scientific methodology. 2. Analyze and apply conceptual models, scientific achievements of domestic and foreign scientists, fundamental postulates and theories, paradigms of global economic development, the latest approaches to the functioning and development of the world economy and international economic relations. 3. Have a scientific holistic view of the economic unity of the world, the regulatory mechanisms of international economic relations at the national, regional and international levels in the modern processes of convergence and divergence. 4. Conduct interdisciplinary research on economic processes, with the appropriate level of general scientific competencies that contribute to the formation of a holistic scientific approach, professional ethics and general cultural outlook. 5. Demonstrate a systematic scientific worldview, the ability to think creatively, formulate conclusions and develop recommendations, offer extraordinary approaches using the latest technology in solving problems. 6. Identify scientific and practical problems, prepare scientific texts and reports, carry out public testing of research results in both state and foreign languages, demonstrate oral and written communication. 7. Ability to use modern information and communication tools and technologies to ensure effective scientific and professional communications. 8. Ability to independently conduct research and make decisions. 9. Ability to formulate their own author's conclusions, suggestions and recommendations.

Summary of the subject: The economic nature of global transformations; mechanisms of functioning of global markets; competitive leadership of global corporations; regionalization processes in the global economy; civilizational dimensions of global economic processes; the global context of development of the Ukrainian economy.
Опис: The discipline involves the study of patterns and modern trends of globalization; civilizational paradigm of global economic development; prerequisites and factors of the formation of the global economy; competitive mechanisms of the functioning of the global market; processes of global corporatization and regionalization of business; the nature of the global economic cycle; principles of global institutionalization of economic development.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control (30%): work at the VNS, case-study, oral testing; • final control (70%): testing (40%), oral answer (30%).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: - Current control (30%): oral questioning, work in the practice, performance of calculation and graphic work; - Final control (70%): semester control (written and oral component)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: The final semester grade on a 100-point scale is converted into a state grade in accordance with the system adopted at the University: • 88-100 points – "excellent" • 71-87 points - "good" • 50-70 points – "satisfactory" • 0-49 points – "not satisfactory". • The grade "excellent" (88-100 points) is awarded for complete, systematized knowledge. The student must correctly answer the assigned tasks and solve the practical tasks, minor mechanical errors are allowed that do not significantly distort the overall result of the practical tasks. • The grade "good" (71-87 points) assumes that, in general, having mastered the material, the student answers most of the tasks correctly and makes minor inaccuracies and individual errors when solving practical problems. • A grade of "satisfactory" (50-70 points) is assigned to a student who has significant deficiencies in solving the assigned tasks and has gaps in practical knowledge, but tried to solve problems where he could have made mistakes. • The grade "unsatisfactory" (less than 50 points) is given to a student who does not understand the essence of the questions, does not know the basic concepts of the subject and did not answer them correctly.
