Summary of the subject: The course "Theory and Methods in Subject Environment Design" is designed for one semester of study and covers 90 hours. and structurally includes two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the course the main types and stages of pre-project research are considered, the main stages of project material development are determined. In the practical part of the course the analysis, systematization of research material is carried out. The object of study can be selected: style in interior design, elements of the subject content of the interior, the features of the functional solution. In order to interact with the relevant disciplines, the student is invited to develop methods of pre-project analysis on related course projects. The discipline is based on the themes of theoretical and practical provisions that reveal the basic laws of pre-project research and synthesis of design products. The study of the proposed course requires a creative approach from students, focuses on independent search for strategies to perform analytical tasks, requires them to develop additional literature.
Assessment methods and criteria: During the semester, a student can score 40 points for four tasks and 60 points in the examination for passing test questions at the VNS Lviv Polytechnic.
