Learning outcomes: Understand the basic theoretical principles and methods of editing graphic images and their stylization by digital means for the formation of integrity and harmonious perception. Understanding the basic principles of color perception in photography. Availability of perception and understanding of the meaning of symbolism in photographs by all cultural, ethnic gender and age groups. Know the main types and kinds of digital raster formats that save and transfer photos; understand the functioning of the basic models of color harmony; regularities of step-by-step and methodical work on self-improvement of one's skills and abilities, as well as representation of oneself as a photographer; be able to develop and improve their own unique style; know the basics of stylistic search and formation of objects of photography as a whole work; be aware of the role of photography in mass culture in all its forms and manifestations.

Summary of the subject: To acquaint students with the methodological foundations and methods of modern digital photography, its history, development and formation as an original genre of contemporary art. Comprehensive implementation of digital technology leads to the active development of digital methods of signal processing. The methods of digital image processing are especially developed in today's conditions, as they are a significant part of the total traffic of multiservice networks. The main tasks of the discipline are to form in students the conceptual apparatus and the system of relationships between the parameters of photography, as well as competencies for managing the parameters of photography to implement a particular idea; formation of basic knowledge about the features of certain genres of photography; formation of competencies for finishing a photo in a graphic editor: retouching, color and tone correction, preparation for further printing or publication on the Internet.
Assessment methods and criteria: During the semester the student can score 100 points for answering the questions of the theoretical course and for performing individual graphic tasks (classroom and independent work). Theoretical course 30% practical current classes 20%; course graphic work photo album 50%
