Learning outcomes: - Know the terminology of art history and architecture and basic historical stages of world art and architecture; ideological conditions incipience of such forms, images, style; - Be able to distinguish between the artistic and architectural styles; identify the most important monuments of art and architecture and remember their attribution; - Apply relevant theoretical knowledge to analyze historic monuments, works of design and design projects.

Summary of the subject: art impressionism; post-impressionism; Ukrainian, Russian painting late XIX - early XX century; Art Nouveau trend in European art; artistic trends of the XX century; Ukrainian art I half XX century; Ukrainian official and unofficial art era of totalitarianism 2 half XX century; new trends and directions in contemporary art.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (30%): evaluation graphic works; oral examination - Final evaluation (70% exam): written, oral form
