Summary of the subject: "Techniques and technologies of conservation of works of art made of plaster" is based on the study of the technological foundations of conservation of works of art made of plaster by practical performance of various tasks on real works, starting with the diagnosis of the state of preservation and the formation of a restoration program, ending with practical application. Conservation of a work of art made of plaster is based on the study of the monument: historical reference, previous conservation work, harmful additions and losses, analysis of the state of preservation of the material, processing of cleaning samples, structural strengthening and addition options, determination of the final coating of the work: methods of biocidal treatment and substances for hydrophobization. The entire system of teaching techniques and technology of conservation of works of art made of plaster should contribute to the development of interpretative and abstract thinking of students, the education of a conscientious professional. The study of the discipline is carried out by the method of sequential execution of analytical, systematization and practical blocks of conservation work. Each stage of conservation work is made more difficult by the growing system of learning based on the method of sequential assimilation of regularities.
