Learning outcomes: The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the specifics of designing a family house, developing practical skills of sketching and design of a complete set of drawings. To teach students to design an individual house with landing on a real site and taking into account the specific requirements of the customer.
Required prior and related subjects: 1. History of architecture; 2. Architectural Graphics and Composition; 3. Fundamentals of Architectural Design; 4. Design of Architectural Environment.
Summary of the subject: The project of a single-family house is one of the first architectural projects of a student, where he acquires the ability to design independently and comprehensively approach the solution of architectural problems and learns to find architectural and planning solutions that would provide the best way to operate. In this project the student gets acquainted with the features of the housing function and the means of functional and spatial organization of the building and its surroundings. In the design process, the student must feel the connection between the planning and spatial structure of the house and the external environment based on the study of family life processes.
Assessment methods and criteria: Differentiated credit. Course project - 100 p.

Co-requisites: Architectural design (sports and youth camp in a landscape environment), Architectural design (Office with parking in an urban environment)
Summary of the subject: Discipline "Architectural design: Reconstruction of a residential building" gives the student basic knowledge of methods of implementation of projects for the reconstruction of residential buildings. As a result of studying the discipline and implementation of the course project, the student gets acquainted with the methods of pre-project research: architectural measurements, photofixation, sketches, etc .; methods of compositional analysis and proportional system in the construction of the architectural composition of facades, methods of field inspection and determination of the technical condition of the building; methods of designing reconstruction works with completion, superstructure, re-planning and adaptation to new functions of the building. Based on the identified shortcomings in the planning decisions and technical condition of the existing building, the student learns to develop their own design solutions. For this purpose, knowledge of historical structures, materials and construction techniques is used, as well as knowledge of the methods of using new technological solutions and modern building materials in reconstruction works. The student acquires basic knowledge on the design of landscaping and courtyards of apartment buildings with a designated area.
Assessment methods and criteria: The assessment is sent on the basis of the completed project Composition of the project "Reconstruction of a residential building": Graphic part, Explanatory note. The graphic part of the project is made on sheets of thick drawing paper (A2 format). The explanatory note is made on sheets of A4 office paper.
