Summary of the subject: Master's Thesis in the specialty 191 "Architecture and Urban Planning", specialization Design of the Architectural Environment should demonstrate an in-depth vision of modern problems of architecture and architectural design, fundamental knowledge that corresponds to the current level of development of architecture, high professional culture. A master's thesis is a qualifying research work performed independently, which is prepared for the purpose of public defense and obtaining a master's degree. The main task of its author is to demonstrate the level of their scientific qualifications, the ability to independently conduct scientific research and solve specific scientific problems. The qualification work should certify the professional maturity of the graduate, reveal his or her general scientific, general theoretical and special training, the ability to apply the knowledge acquired at the university to solve specific scientific and practical problems and, accordingly, readiness for independent professional activity. The peculiarity of the master's thesis is that it must provide for scientific research (creative development), demonstrate a certain level of scientific qualification of the student, his or her ability to conduct scientific research and solve specific scientific problems. The design and graphic part shows the possibilities of implementing the obtained theoretical provisions into specific project proposals. The composition, scale of the drawings, and their compositional arrangement are agreed with the supervisor. The presentation of materials on the tablets should have a logical order and develop in a structured way from highlighting the relevance of the issue to ways to solve it. Graphic development of design concepts on the topic of master's qualification work in programs (optional): MicrosoftWord, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Lumion; Artlantis, 3DSMax.
Опис: Processing of scientific literature, information sources related to the given topic, preparation for consultations with the supervisor; Processing of issued cartographic materials, if possible, access to the site, photography, field surveys, measurements; Search, review and analysis of analogues Working with state building codes to determine the restrictions on the design of a given object; Conducting design and search work, modeling the existing environment, searching for ideas and concepts of the projected object; Processing in the form of a design and graphic part of the master's qualification work on a given topic; Preparation and execution of an explanatory note to the design and graphic part of the master's qualification work.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: implementation and protection of the clause. Review of the status of the Master's Thesis. Final control: review of the explanatory note and the design and graphic part of the master's qualification work at the department's seminar and admission to the defense in the EC.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Clause: Completeness and clarity of disclosure of the idea of the projected object; coordination of the localization of the projected object with the given topic; justification of the chosen solution; compliance of the proposed architectural solution of the projected object with the given topic. Execution of the explanatory note and the design and graphic part of the master's thesis at the department's seminar and admission to the defense at the EC: Justify the research topic: relevance of the topic, purpose and objectives of the work, object of research, subject of research, research methodology, scientific novelty, practical significance. Justify the choice of the site for the projected object. To review and analyze literary sources, domestic and foreign experience in designing objects of a given topic, to identify features and trends of modern architectural solutions in the field that corresponds to the topic of the master's qualification work. Analyze state building codes and apply regulatory restrictions in the process of designing an architectural object. To reveal the idea and features of the figurative and constructive solution of the designed architectural object. The volume (without bibliography and without appendices) of the explanatory note of the master's thesis: computer typing - up to 70 pages of typewritten text. The list of references includes at least 30 sources (not including links to Internet resources).
