Завдання: As a result of studying the discipline, the specialist should know: - laws of Ukraine on intellectual property issues; - basic principles of patent and copyright law. The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' program competencies: general: • ability to use knowledge in practical situations. • ability to write and speak in Ukrainian and foreign languages. • the ability to learn, to perceive the acquired knowledge in the subject area and to integrate it with the existing ones. • ability to plan and manage time. professional: • the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic facts, concepts, principles and theories related to intellectual property. • basic ideas about the variety of objects and subjects of intellectual property law. • possession of methods of identification and classification, objects of intellectual property in the field of chemical and food technologies. • modern ideas about the basic principles of copyright and industrial property in the field of food and chemical production. • the ability to apply basic methods of analysis and assessment of the state of chemical-technological systems and food technologies from the point of view of intellectual property. • the ability to choose and use appropriate methods for the implementation of inventions in the field of chemical production and food technology.
Learning outcomes: The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: knowledge: • basic facts, concepts, principles and theories related to chemistry, mechanisms and principles of chemical transformations of substances from the point of view of intellectual property; • theoretical foundations of technology patenting, production of chemical substances, as well as materials and products based on them; • patenting methods of chemical and physico-chemical analysis of raw materials, materials, chemical products and products based on them; • patenting of modern technologies of chemical production; • patenting of constructions and equipment of chemical productions; • patenting of modern achievements of innovative technologies in the industry.

Summary of the subject: The discipline is dedicated to deepening the knowledge that the student receives during the study of the course "Intellectual property" and mastering information about the legal norms of possession, use and protection of the results of his creative and intellectual activity in the field of chemistry and chemical technologies. The acquired knowledge will allow masters and specialists to competently and effectively implement the right of intellectual property in the future.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
