Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the specialist must know: - basics of semantic Web and Grid technologies, which allow to combine computing resources and data storage resources into a single system; - architecture of semantic Web and Grid systems used in Ukraine; - principles of functioning of the main components of semantic Web and Grid systems, technology of preparation for use in Web and Grid environment. A trained specialist must be able to: - Select and use middleware to solve scientific and practical problems, adapt application packages to the Web and Grid environment, use input languages ??to describe tasks and data, track and adjust the computational process during a numerical experiment or modeling process. A trained specialist must acquire the skills: - practical use of the most common middleware, working on access portals.

Summary of the subject: The purpose of the discipline is to study the basics of semantic Web and Grid technologies, as well as services and their application. The trend of Grid systems is changing towards semantic grid, based on the use of metadata and ontologies, in which information is understood not only as data that matters, but also knowledge that is acquired, used, presented, published and maintained.
Assessment methods and criteria: current control (50%): current reports on laboratory work and control work, abstracts and oral examination; final control (50%, exam): performance of test tasks.
