Summary of the subject: Here the basic concepts of the theory of business communications, functions and methods of the theory of business communications, forms of communicative activity on their purposes, system model of information and communication processes are considered. Separate sections analyze the communicative side of business interaction, conflict situations, manipulations in business communications, as well as issues of ethics and etiquette of business communications. The cycle of laboratory works includes computer modeling of business communication tasks for noise-tolerant transmission of messages by communication channels using optimized cyclic code, high-speed transmission of vector data arrays by communication channels using optimized cyclic and monolithic group codes, development of combinatorial synthesis program models of optimal coding of multidimensional sources of information.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (45%): written reports on laboratory work, oral examination, individual research task. Final control (55%): exam - theoretical and practical tasks.
