Learning outcomes: - to know modern methods and means of measuring, control and test, including those relating to quality control of products, processes and services; - to know modern methods and means of automation and computerization of measurement, testing and evaluation of product quality; - be able to plan experimental studies and to justify choice of hardware to process the results and present them in the right form; - be able to assess the current level and prospects of development of means of measuring, monitoring and testing; - be able to organize testing and quality control of products, to investigate their safety to health of people, property of consumers, environmental and requirements of government, to apply the principles of sustainable improvement and competitiveness of products.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous disciplines: sensors of measuring systems; theoretical metrology; methods and meens for measuring, testing and control. Related disciplines: theory and equipment of experiment; measuring control in engineering; methods and means of improving the accuracy of measurements and testing
Summary of the subject: Study of trends and tendencies of development of scientific instrumentation, physical phenomena, fundamental and applied research are used for accurate measurements. Study of the properties of modern materials and methods for their use in primary transducers and measuring instruments used in precise instrument with the prospects for their use in quality control systems high-tech products.
Assessment methods and criteria: - current control (30%); - conducting semester test and exam (70%); - protection of course work and a differentiated test by the results of its execution and protection; - exam by the results of learning rate.
