Learning outcomes: As a result of successful study in the program of this course, students are expected to acquire the language level HSK1, which is the basic level of Chinese language use in everyday life.
As a result of studying this course the student must
know:
1.spelling and rules of reading the phonetic system of pinyins; basic hieroglyphic keys and graphemes, rules of
hieroglyphic writing, the structure of a simple chinese sentence, understand the formation of parts of speech.
2. basic lexical material on the topics of oral speech: "How are you?", "What do you do?", "What country are you from?", "How old are you?" "," My family "," My day "," What do you want to eat? "," I can speak Chinese. "
be able to: simply and coherently speak on familiar topics or
topics of personal interests; maintain a basic topic conversation.

Summary of the subject: The course has a practical focus, giving students the opportunity to acquire general communicative competence in the use of Chinese. Learning is carried out by integrating speech skills and language skills within a familiar general thematic and situational context.
The course consists of eight units on various topics, each of which provides appropriate grammatical and oral topic.
Опис: Topic 1. «??????». What is syllable? Four tones. Articulating initialias b, p, n, l, h and finalias a, o, e, i, u, u, ai, ei, ao, ou. Structural elements of a hieroglyph. Grammar topic: word order in the Chinese language. Oral topic: How are you doing?
Topic 2. «??????». Zero tone. The rules of transcription. Articulating initialias d, t, g, k, f and finalias ei, ou, an, ang, eng, iao, iou(-iu). Grammar topic: the Noun and the Pronoun – categories of plural and singular. Interrogative pronouns «??», «?», «?». Sentences containing linking verb «?» – «to be». Interrogative sentence with «?». Oral topic: What do you do? »
Тopic 3. «????????». Modulation of tones. Articulating initialias zh ch sh r and finalias – і, ai, uai, ong. Grammar topic: Rules of hieroglyphic writing. Incomplete interrogative sentence with particle «?». Structural particle «?». Oral topic: «Where do you come from?»
Topic 4. «????????». Key principles of pronunciation. Counting words. Articulating initials j, q, x ia, ian, iang, uei(-ui), uen(-un), ue, uan. Numerals. Grammar topic: Negative particle «?». Interrogative pronoun «?». Interrogative phrase «? + ?». Oral topic: «How old are you?»
Topic 5. « ? ? ? ? ? ». Articulating initialias z, c, s and finalias er, iong, ua, uan, uang, un. More complex graphic elements. Grammar topic: sentences with adjectival predicate. Modal verb «?». Interrogative pronoun «??». Oral topic: «My family»
Topic 6. «????». General transcription table of initialias and finalias putunkhua. Data, month,day, weekdays. Grammar topic: Sentences with nominal predicate. Sentences «??» with a consecutive verbal construction ? + place + to verb. Oral topic: «My day».
Topic 7. «????». Exclamation «?».Noun in the role of Attribute. Monetary values.Grammar topic: Modal verb «?». Interrogative pronoun «?? ». Position in the sentence «?» і «?». Adverbial modifier of place. Oral topic: «What would you like to eat? »

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Listening - Complete comprehension of the listening material. Students have to demonstrate the ability to comprehend and reproduce, interpret, memorise the material and perform oral and written tasks.
Reading - students demonstrate the knowledge of the reading material; they are able to reproduce all the facts correctly; certain inconsistencies are allowed, however, students should demonstrate critical thinking, the ability to analyze and lay out the material consecutively. Students understand and can explain most of the words in a text, can translate and use them participating in a discussion.
Speaking - students are able to express themselves on a given topic using lexical and grammar constructions, speak fluently and support their point of view by the help of language means and participate in discussions.
Writing - students possess an appropriate level of knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. A written paper should be concise, coherent, logical (an essay, a letter, a summary, etc.)
