Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education:
general competences:
Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis.
Ability to conduct research at an appropriate level
Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources.
special competences:
The ability to investigate trends in economic development using the tools of macro- and microeconomic analysis, to evaluate modern economic phenomena.
Ability to apply economic and mathematical methods and models to solve financial problems.
Ability to use modern information and software for obtaining and processing data in the field of finance, banking and insurance.
Learning outcomes:
PR05. Possess a methodical toolkit for diagnosing the state of financial systems (state finances, including budget and tax systems, finances of economic entities, household finances, financial markets, banking system and insurance).
PR06. Apply appropriate economic and mathematical methods and models for solving financial problems.
PR08. Apply specialized information systems, modern financial technologies and software products.
PR10. Identify sources and understand the methodology of determining and methods of obtaining economic data, collect and analyze the necessary financial information, calculate indicators characterizing the state of financial systems.
PR13. To have general scientific and special methods of researching financial processes.
PR24. Investigate economic phenomena and processes in the financial sphere and evaluate their impact on the financial potential of corporations, choosing for this the optimal economic and mathematical methods and models and information systems and technologies.
Required prior and related subjects: • Prerequisites: Mathematics for economists, part 1,
Mathematics for economists, part 2, Informatics;
• Co-requisites: Actuarial mathematics.
Summary of the subject: Economic-mathematical methods and models make it possible to comprehensively solve the issue of optimal production management, serve as a methodical basis for building effective production management technology in a dialogic human-machine mode. The purpose of teaching the discipline is to form a system of knowledge on methodology and tools for building and using various types of economic-mathematical models during professional activities in the field of finance, banking and insurance.
Опис: Conceptual aspects of mathematical modeling in economics. Principles of econometric models. Linear multiple regression model. Generalized econometric models. Dynamic econometric models. Optimization of economic and mathematical models. Linear programming problems and methods of their solution. Integer programming. Non-linear optimization models of economic systems. Analysis and management of risk in the economics.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control (40%): accomplishment and defence of laboratory work;
• Final assessment (60% of exam): semester control.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control - 40 points:
Laboratory classes 40 points, (correspondence form – 15 points)
Test papers for extramural form - 20 points
Examination control - 60 points:
Written component – 55 points
Oral component – 5 points
The maximum score is 100 points
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: According to the option, 2 points are awarded for the completion of each laboratory work, 3 points are awarded for the defense of each performed laboratory work. During the semester, the maximum grade for laboratory classes is 40 points for full-time students and 15 points for part-time students.
A maximum of 7 points is awarded for the correct performance of each control work of correspondence students, and a maximum of 3 points for its defense. During the semester, the maximum score for performance and defense of control papers is 20 points for correspondence students.
In particular, when assessing the completeness of answers in the defense of laboratory works:
an answer that characterizes the student's deep understanding of the essence of the problem, involves the processing of additional information and certifies a high level of assimilation of theoretical material is evaluated at 100%;
65% is assessed for an answer that characterizes a sufficient level of assimilation of the theoretical material by the student, involves the submission of standard proposals or solutions;
30% is assessed for an answer that characterizes a sufficient level of the student's assimilation of the theoretical material, but the answer is incomplete in content or has inaccuracies in wording or involves the submission of proposals or solutions that are not sufficiently substantiated.
Written component of the exam:
- 1st level tasks – tests with one correct answer (10 test questions for 2 points each);
- tasks of the 2nd level - tests with several correct answers (2 test questions for 3 points);
- 3rd level task – solve problems (4 problems – 29 points).
Oral component of the exam:
- oral survey: a full-time student can receive from 0 to 5 points, a part-time student - from 0 to 10 points.
