Мета вивчення дисципліни: Training of qualified specialists in the banking sphere by forming students' knowledge of international banking operations to serve international trade, researching the forms of international settlements and currency operations, possibilities of their practical application, advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
Завдання: Skills in using information and communication technologies. Ability to establish effective financial relations and long-term cooperation with consumers, financial intermediaries, investors, financial and credit institutions, insurance companies, using regulatory documents based on contract law. The ability to find out cause-and-effect relationships, analyze external and internal information for the formation of financial plans, development of elements of product, price, sales, credit, tax, investment policy of business entities, including financial institutions. The ability to analyze financial potential, use methods of assessing solvency and managing portfolios of services and investments of financial institutions, taking into account the state of the financial market and macroeconomic factors.
Learning outcomes: Conceptual knowledge acquired in the process of study and professional activity, including certain knowledge of modern achievements. Solving complex, unpredictable tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or training, which involves the collection and interpretation of information (data), the selection of methods and tools, and the use of innovative approaches. Ability to further study with a high level of autonomy. To determine the features of the functioning of modern world and national financial systems and their structure; design and develop financial relationships with counterparties using financial infrastructure; to analyze the conditions and rules of sale of financial products and financial services, to carry out activities for the conclusion of contracts, using the methods of banking and insurance marketing.
Required prior and related subjects: - prerequisite: money and credit, finance, banking system, financial market. - co-requisites: financial analysis, financial infrastructure, distribution of financial products and services, financial monitoring and anti-fraud.
Summary of the subject: The discipline is aimed at studying the features of international banking operations to serve international trade, researching the forms of international settlements and currency operations, the possibilities of using them in practice, the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
Опис: Prerequisites for the emergence and development of international banks. The essence, elements and functions of international banking. Characteristics of the environment of international banking. Transnational banks. International banks. International bank settlements. International currency transactions of banks. International bank credit and its impact on the economic development of Ukraine. Influence of banks with the participation of foreign capital on ensuring the integration of Ukraine's economy into the international financial space. Bank guarantees as a tool for securing financial obligations in international settlements. Risks in international banking. Current trends in the development of international banking.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (45%) - test survey, oral survey in practical classes, performance of research tasks and their protection, performance of laboratory works and their protection; examination control (55%) - testing, problem solving, oral component.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control: Testing in a VLE - 12 points; performance of laboratory work - 20 points; performance of research tasks before practical classes - 13 points. Final control: Written component: Tasks of the 1st level - 5 points; Tasks of the 2nd level - 15 points; Task of the 3rd level - solve problems - 20 points. Oral component – 15 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
